Something I made due to CN airing one of my least favorite episodes of "What's New Scooby-Doo" today.
*everyone else yells "BOOOOOOO!" and throws tomatoes at me!*
I did this because I really hated what Sander Schwartz did to Warner Bros. Animation. He turned it into an Adelaide Productions clone, redirected the company to doing mostly boring action/superhero cartoons (including "Loonatics Unleashed"), AND the damage he did to Scooby-Doo (Scooby luckily recovered by 2009!) In fact, according to my friend Tom Ruegger (whom was producer on "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo,") he said Sander Schwartz was a creep.
But enough of that. This is a project I did enhancing a Looney Tunes cartoon somewhat similar to "The Vampire Strikes Back:" a Daffy Duck vs. Speedy Gonzales cartoon from 1967 entitled "Fiesta Fiasco" (these later Looney Tunes cartoons were very similar to WNSD, as a matter of fact!)
I even ripped a few sound effects straight off the show, because they usually made their own effects in their own then-new foley stage at the time (like some of the thunder, "screech" noises, and a few others.) The original cartoons had a very limited sound effect library, including several from Hanna-Barbera (very similar to how "What's New, Scooby-Doo" only used a small portion of Hanna-Barbera's sound effect library), AND both these Warner/Seven arts cartoons and WNSD were made by the exact same company!
Now if only I could have used a Simple Plan version of the Looney Tunes theme, and have Gigi Meroni and Rich Dickerson-esque music in the soundtrack instead of Bill Lava's similar music.
Tell me what you think. I went to a lot of trouble making this ;D
