Captain Caveman appeared in issue 9 of the marvel comics run of the comics.

I'm still surprised that the funky phantom hasn't appeared in standard continuity. It would so interesting to see Shaggy and Scooby trying to wrap their heads around a real ghost being friendly and helping unmask fake ones.

Well at least the real aliens were. The fake ones were still villains.

I liked this movie. The ending made my eyes moist, but I couldn't help guffawing when Fred of all people began blubbering inelegantly when Shaggy and Scooby said their good byes. I liked the twist at the end, that was cool. For once the monster was not only real but was also one of the good guys.

Hopefully they set it in the same continuity as Where are you - Reluctant Werewolf, The DTVS, What's New and every comic book series except Apocalypse.

I'll bet Conroy has a hard time getting work outside of Batman.

That's Ray Palmer right? He looks too white to be Ryan Choi.

Oh heck no, I get sick as it is when the writers some times slip in an accident kiss between them in films. Why you do that writers? Why? I figured some are a fan of that pairing, they get more kisses than the practically Canon paring Fred x Daphne 😥 or the semi-quasi-practically canon (if you go by the comics) Shaggy x Velma.

Where's my Mummy is a good one. I like how Shaggy insists on sticking around to save Velma before they all learn she's the ghost. He'd have been more reluctant if the focus of the movie was on Daphne or Fred instead of her. He would have had a breakdown if they had to save Scooby.

As much as I'd love a "Shaggy and Scooby are the monster(s)" bit, I think they're honestly the 2 that would be the hardest to write this scenario for. Not only are they basically the main characters so an absence would be extra conspicuous, but I just don't think they have enough brains to orchestrate the whole monster thing themselves. The only two that I think do would be either Velma or Fred. They may be goofy and lazy but they're not stupid!

What I don't get is why someone who doesn't like Scooby-Doo would come to a website devoted to Scooby-Doo.

I'd like to see one where Shaggy and Scooby are the guys in the monster suit. It could be the April fools episode they never did.
