Mark, Did you see the Depp movie? If not, it's not a trash movie, it takes elements you've seen already and coming soon and kind of flattens the timeline. If you didn't see it yet, good work, watch later. Yep, saw the Depp movie when it first came out. I liked how they incorporated all the familiar elements but didn't exactly repeat the story. Also watched the Ben Cross reboot back in the 90's and have seen most of the original post-Barnabas seasons. The Laura/Phoenix arc looks to be pretty cool, though I also really enjoyed the Malloy/Matthew Morgan arc too. I think Thayer David & Frank Schofield were two of the most believable actors the show ever had. Was sad to lose them so early in the series run. Mark

Mark, did you get the Coffin box set? No, I considered it once when it was a featured sale at Amazon, but I was already far enough along in my collection that it wasn't really cost effective unless I were to try & sell my existing DVD sets. Nice set tho. You have it? Mark

Thayer David is there through the end pretty much, I don't think Schofield ever comes back though.
Thayer is all of the incarnations of Stokes, as well as a Mordecai Grimes, Sandor the Magnfiicent, and a Count Petoffi.

Yep, I do have the coffin and autographed postcard by Jonathan Frid. Sad to loose him. I don't think the movie was so bad. And the series wasn't a critical success in the beginning either, so, bad review for the movie means little to the actors except for money.

House of Anubis is good, I have been watching some episodes of that.
I also like some of the Hanna-Barbera mystery shows that some might say are Scooby rip-offs.

Oh boy a thread I feel like i was jipped in not knowing existed till now lol.
For cartoons I like all the HB/RS mystery shows. Have all the dvds released so far, will more than likely buy the rest when they come.
For live action stuff I watch BBC Sherlock, and i've got some assorted detective movies among my movie collection.
For books I've read aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalot of stuff, but a lot of that being online and from the days i actually used the library. Now that i've actually started buffing up my book collection I only really tackle so many series at a time, so while i totally want some more detectives i'm only putting so many on my search list at a time. One of my best finds being a 3.00 book at a used book store with the first two volumes of AJ Raffles stories. Always liked them, snatched that up moment I saw it. I also have some Hardy Boys, read one of them not that long ago. Believe I did a book report on that one many moons ago in elementary school.

Well let me see: Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson, did I mention Percy Jackson? I like The Kane Chronicles. I'm also a Potterhead, I watch House of Anubis from time to time. Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska by John Green are pretty good. So yeah. Cx

I like Extant, Harry Potter, Gravity Falls, i used to watch House of Anubis and really liked it, but i've only seen the first season and a part of season 2, i watched them when they were free on iTunes, and at the time didn't have high speed internet, so when i synced my iPod to my brother's computer, that was the only chance to download them, and not all of the downloads went through But if i ever get the time i might go back watch the rest of the series. I also started watching CSI: Cyber, which by the way has Hayley Kiyoko in it, from Mystery Begins and Lake Monster!

I read some posts mentioning Harry Potter as a mystery series. I wasn't sure it is a mystery series of books/movies! Wow! I'm still in love with this series... I guess in a way we've all heard of it! I also like Gravity Falls! I'd compare it to Mystery corporated... It's brilliant!!

Animated: Detective Academy Q Detective Conan Famous Five: On the Case
We could really use more decent animated series with mysteries, they are too rare.
Live Action: Agatha Christie Hour, The Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime Miss Marple (Joan Hickson) Poirot (David Suchet) Rivals of Sherlock Holmes Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett)
I enjoyed some lighter mystery series (Diagnosis Murder, Matlock, Mystery Woman, Murder 101 movies, Murder She Wrote, Perry Mason movies) in the past too. But I can no longer tolerate the Columbo style where the murderer is shown, and the murderer(s) are just badgered throughout the episode/movie.
