We watch Criminal Minds a good bit. I like a lot of the BBC mystery/spooky shows. Not video, but I also like the Hardy Boys books now and then. Mark Have you ever read the Hardy Boys Casefiles series? It was pretty good from what I remember. I was a big fan of The Hardy Boys as a kid, I still watch the tv series from time to time(Scooby connection: Casey Kasem was in a second season episode). Not yet but I plan to eventually. Right now I've been reading the first 59 in random order. I thought about getting the TV series on DVD but it's kinda pricey. May check online.) Mark

DCI Banks, Poirot, Midsomer Murders, Jeremy Brett and Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes incarnations, John Barrymore's Arsene Lupin, Case Closed (Detective Conan from Japan), Lupin The Third, Cowboy Beebop, Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis (look at the team dynamics), NCIS and NCIS: LA, Quincy, Dark Shadows the Original TV Series. Also, I was weened on Columbo and Mystery She Wrote. I can still do Columbo, but would rather catch Diagnosis Murder than MSW these days if I had to watch either.

I like the Basil Rathbone era myself, and also the original Dark Shadows. Have been watching the early pre-Barnabas episodes recently.
Regarding Murder She Wrote style shows, I like Hetty Wainthrup Investigates, which is similar but a little more serious.

Yeah, Business is about to seriously pick up. That's the part that saved the series from obscurity.

Mark, Did you see the Depp movie? If not, it's not a trash movie, it takes elements you've seen already and coming soon and kind of flattens the timeline. If you didn't see it yet, good work, watch later. I'll probably flesh out some of my Scooby Doo in Collinsport story slowly over the next couple of months. I have to decide on the arcs. I've already flattened the beginning to them picking up Victoria Winters and bringing her to Collinwood to replace the recently disappeared Governess of David Collins, who happened to disappear when Barnabas arrived from England. I might throw that out and just keep what I have as an inexplicable repeating of Victoria every morning of the intro to each episode of the series,
