Which series do you think Fred is the dumbest in?

Definitely A Pup Named Scooby Doo. In What's New and Mystery Incorporated, he was dumb, saying random things every once in a while, but in Pup he was off the wall, constantly talking about crazy stuff such as the Mud Men or The Metal Men from Mercury.

A pup named he was dumb but he was a kid who beleived in everything the national exaderater or whatever said. Mystery Inc. he was very slow and a lot older just to name a few: Daphne, the blood jucie boxes, Daphne, trapping his teachers.
Fred was dumb in both but I don't know how he can not see the kinds of hints Daphne was throwing.

All three wins, why did they feel they had turn Fred so stupid? In the 90 films I felt he was fine, he was smart with mix of being funny without being like this. Now it seems like Shaggy and Scooby are smarter than him I know this is an old thread so sorry about bumping it up. Just wanted to give my opinions on the new Fred dang.

I've never thought he was particularly dumb in WNSD, I haven't seen many Pup episodes but he's not the brightest light in the harbour for sure. SD:MI is a bit harder as he obviously has 'issues' which impact on how he acts.

I also feel like as the girls became less helpless, Fred's character was dumbed down. Maybe 'cause there was no need for a "smart, strong, brave knight in shining armor" anymore? Then again SD:MI does (lightheartedly) kind of play around with stereotypes a bit, in my opinion.

Adult Fred was the dumbest in "What's New Scooby-Doo." People have been liking this newer Fred and saying "Oh he's finally got a personality," but not me. It's an unfortunate trend Warner has had lately, and they also did it with Lola Bunny on "The Looney Tunes Show" (at least Fred doesn't talk abnormally fast like the new Lola does!)
The dumb Freddy was actually lots of fun in "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo!"
