If there are any Australian-based members or Scooby fans reading this, turns out WB is making a brand-new live stage show, "Scooby-Doo: Live Musical Mysteries" that is so far only being shown in Australia.

It does look interesting, including how they put the red bows in Velma's hair ala the "Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated" version of Velma (since the rest of the gang in that show wear their classic outfits, the humans' outfits look almost the same as the original 2002 "Stagefright" show.) Unfortunately, unlike that show (and the foreign "Scooby-Doo and the Pirate Host" production from 2009), they aren't going to be using the hyper-realistic, INCREDIBLE Scooby-Doo costume used in those shows:
You see, the new show is merely going to use the standard Scooby-Doo mascot suit used in the Warner Bros. Movie World theme park in Australia. Watching that in action is like, well, watching a mascot/theme park character. But watching the above-mentioned "Scooby" from the 2002 stage show, you can easily forget it's an actor in a costume and that it looks like you are watching the REAL Scooby-Doo! It is more flexible and dynamic, and even has a moving jaw! (lined to the real actor's jaw in the mask) From what I recall, the original show had Scooby's voice done by an actor from off-stage, and the person in the Scooby costume would lip-sync to it, unless in an interview video (like I have seen online) or talking directly to someone, the actor in the costume would actually imitate Scooby's voice. The latter result was VERY convincing (being reminded of an old interview video that showed a reporter interviewing the Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and Daphne from that production).
Overall, it does look pretty interesting (and I wouldn't mind having one of those impressive "Stagefright" Scooby costumes myself!)
