I've changed my mind about Fred. He's really a great guy in the original series. He won't ever be my favorite, but he was likeable and I can see why some would consider him their favorite.

Mines gotta be Velma. Not because I don't like her, she's actually my favorite character in the first live action movie. I think it's more the writers. They make her so robotic and flat. To me there is rarely much life to her. I don't think they focus the attention on her that she deserves

My least favorite is Daphne. Especially the new "burn your bra" PC Daphne.
I actually liked Daphne in the old show and the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.

I would have to say that my least favorite character is Fred. Fred was just really dull and, in the original series it was like his favorite sayings were: "Let's split up" and "I don't know." Sometimes he got it right but his traps usually ended up backfiring on Scooby and Shaggy or didn't work in the way they were planned and I just don't feel like he added anything.
Velma would be a close second, though. A lot of her "clue finding" was pretty obvious and I found that most of the real clues were found by either Scooby, Shaggy or Daphne.

At times all of them. You want writers who are sympathetic to the character and their interaction with the others, some of their behaviors smacks of the scriptwriters having a 'it's Friday, it's 5pm and we need to get this done before we can go home' moment.

In the scheme of things, from all of the movies, not counting the junk that is Arabian Nights, i'd say the Tour Guide from Aloha Scooby Doo! was wasted. After that, the main villain in Pirate's Ahoy was a let down, saw coming from too far away.

My least favorite would be Fred. I never liked the other versions Daphne outside of The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show through The 13 Ghost of Scooby-Doo.

fred can be boring at times, and daphne can be dangerprone, all of the characters can have their weak points imo.

Extended Doo family. Not a consistency there. I don't mind Scrappy, but even Scooby Dum is just a filler to me.

the problem with scoobys family is that they dont appear enough to give their characters depth. scooby dum - dimwit. yabba- western version of scooby. scooby dee -obvious love interest/ damsel in distress. dixie doo- southern singer

I don't really have a problem with any of them really , but when it comes down to it i'd have to say Fred. HB's Fred was not too bad , just a bit bossy. WB's Fred in my opinion is really bad , they made him ditsy , trap-obsessed , rushing into engagements , etc ,etc. New thoughts! I think my least favorite depends on the scooby media I’m watching. When I rewatched SDMI the first time, it was fred hands down. He grew on me this time around. I don’t think I can even say I have a least favorite. I know a lot of people in this thread said daphne, but the show wouldn’t be the same without her. I don’t view her as useless at all!
