Yeah, I don't know if Scrappy is worse than Get A Clue or the other way around. I despise them both, so it's hard to pick which one is worse.

well, i just can hope, they will never ever show him in any series or movie again. or, if they have to, just as the villain. like they did in the live-action movie. (in the end, he gets in his well deserved cage *mad-laugh*... that was so much of a relieve)

I would think that enoung people dislike Scrappy that they wouldn't put him in any new series. Of course, I expected Get A Clue to be better too, and that was a complete let down!

Hmm My least favorite hmm. Guess that'd have to be between Fred and Velma. Why? There both so mean and tricky to Shaggy and Scooby. I mean that one episode of What's New Scooby-Doo? Fred tells Shaggy and Scooby that the villain said some thing bad about there scooby snax, just to get them up to run the ghost out. Than in Scooby-Doo movies, Velma tricks Shaggy and Scooby by saying who wants to try the food first, some thing like that. Naturally there going to be up for that, but Velma forced them to go whether they wanted or not. I feel bad for both of them a lot cuz of these two =[

Mh, Fred was bossy in the older series, but I didn't think he was mean to our beloved food-freaks later. The episode you mentioned was one I actually thought of as pretty cool. The lurking wasn't mean or something and the whole situation was actually rather funny, in my opinion. Velma, I'd never ever think that she is mean. Sure, she tricks Shaggy and Scooby sometimes, too, but so does Daphne and even Scrappy. If they wouldn't trick them, they would never be bait, so how should the mystery work out?

They would have had to change the entire plot if Shaggy and Scooby weren't the bait. I wonder what the show would be like if that were the case.

yep, I guess that's the problem.
No one is as fast as Shaggy and Scooby, so naturally, none of them would really work as bait, so getting these two to be the bait is the only option to catch the villain. But with their cowardice, they don't really like that role, so they just GOT to trick them. It's a circle.

Regarding the characters, I like them and dislike them for all different reasons, considering how distinct they are from another; each have their own strengths and weaknesses, after all!

I've never been too crazy about Fred, so I'm kind of disappointed that Frank Welker is the only one still around from the original days. He was a much more tolerable character in the original series, Mystery Incorporated kind of failed in making him likeable.

I don't really have a problem with any of them really , but when it comes down to it i'd have to say Fred. HB's Fred was not too bad , just a bit bossy. WB's Fred in my opinion is really bad , they made him ditsy , trap-obsessed , rushing into engagements , etc ,etc.
