Scooby-Dum may not be everyone's favourite addition to the show but you can't deny he was in some pretty darn iconic episodes.
#4. The Gruesome Game of the Gator Ghoul
Even my least favourite episode starring Dum is a strong one. The Gator Ghoul is possibly the coolest looking villain of the series and the swamp setting is suitable creepy. There's some neat clues found throughout but where it falters is a few too many interchangeable scenes of the gang searching cabins and the boys cooking funky fritters. The creepy atmosphere starts to fizzle as the case reaches it's conclusion.
#3. Chiller Diller Movie Thriller
All-round fantastic episode with a multitude of cool settings - my favourite of which being the 10 mins or so aboard the train. That was a unique mode of transport for a classic Scooby ep. The villain is relatively strong with a striking look and is caught in an entertaining manner. The stuff with Scooby-Dee didn't sit too well with me but I can ignore all that and thoroughly enjoy this one.
#2. The Headless Horseman of Halloween
An all-time classic. A true Halloween tradition for me and an episode that actually has rise massively for me over the years. Aside from the slightly overly long final few minutes at the airport, this one is just about perfect. An enormously iconic and scary villain who suits the setting wonderfully. I especially love the scenes of them searching the foggy Cemetery.
#1. Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats
A serious contender for the darkest Scooby episode of all time and not even Dum's presence can take away from that in the slightest. This episode is beyond thick with a spooky atmosphere and the villains notive is honestly pretty despicable, when you think on it. This is my favourite episode of the show now and it's not even close. This is Scooby firing in all cylinders!

4. The Gruesome Game of the Gator Ghoul Love this one and the villain is iconic! I mirror Moonscar's thoughts about how the atmosphere kinda faded away by the end due to the funky fritter and cabin scenes, but it's still a very good episode.
3. The Headless Horseman of Halloween An amazing episode that I watch as a Halloween tradition every year. This was a really cool take on the classic story, and I thought the mystery was very well-written. The only minor criticism I have is the plane scene at the end being a bit long, but it doesn't bring it down for me as much as it used to.
2. Chiller Diller Movie Thriller Love the atmosphere and villain of this one! Although I guess my issues with the weird Scooby-Dee stuff are probably more substantive than the ones I listed for these other two, it honestly doesn't really bother me and I consider this one of my favorites of arguably one of the strongest seasons of Scooby-Doo ever.
1. Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats No competition for me. Iconic episode with a terrifying atmosphere, and I love the villain. Not only my favorite episode here, but it's also my favorite episode of the entire series.

4. Gruesome Game of the Gator Ghoul
Very good, but easily last place when the other three are excellent
3. Chiller Diller Movie Thriller
Wonderful episode overall. I absolutely love the train setting and the Boothville setting. The silent movie scene is a favorite of mine. Of course, obviously the Scooby Dee stuff is the biggest reason why this ends up definitively in third place as it ain’t beating the top two
2. Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats
Comparing this and Headless Horseman is an episode comparison I have always struggled with, especially considering they are so closely associated. Another example of that would be Haunted House Hang Up vs A Night of Fright Is No Delight. I go back and forth on both of these comparisons, and I’ll get into why Headless Horseman wins for me (for right now at least), but here, I will just say this is one of the absolute scariest episodes of Scooby Doo ever. The dark atmosphere and plot, and for it all to be capped off with one of the saddest mystery resolutions of the show in my opinion actually works for episode for me. It is certainly not the most lightweight episode to watch, but that is also why it is phenomenal for what it is
1. Headless Horseman of Halloween
Yet… besides minor nitpicks where I do agree with Doo about the plane scene going on a tad bit too long (still less of a problem here than it is in Ghost of the Red Baron and Scary Sky Skeleton for me though), the rest of this episode is one of the most well rounded and flat out perfect episodes this franchise has ever seen. It may not be as dark as Vampire Bats, but it still has a really excellent atmosphere and some scary moments like when the Headless Horseman jumps out at them upstairs in Crane Manor. The mystery solving aspect is phenomenal here as well. All of the clues and how they fit together make an admittedly easy solution still work really, really well. I also really love the humor and how they really twisted an established story into something unique for this series. And if nothing else, despite me liking all of Scooby Dum’s appearances, this might be my favorite appearance of his with several really good gags

I think all of these are very good to excellent episodes. My ranking is this:
4)Gruesome Game of the Gator Ghoul: One of first scooby episodes i ve ever watched. Iconic villain and nice plot but the mystery is a little bit weak so it is in the last place.
3)Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats: I think this is a great creepy episode but for some reason i dont feel as nostalgic as with the other three.
2)Headless Horseman of Halloween: Another favorite of my childhood. This is what i have in mind as a good old classic scooby episode and it would have been first if it had a better ending. The 3rd act is kinda weak.
1)Chiller Diller Movie Thriller: Sure the whole Scooby Dee thing is weird but other than that i love this episode.
