I subscribe to the Scooby-Doo comic books and a couple weeks ago I got the recalled issue and today I got a new #7 issue with a note that said:
"Although our Scooby-Doo comic book is published especially for kids, an ad for a graphic novel aimed at older readers appeared as page 12. Fortunately, the ad did not include any text or imagery of an adult nature.
Nevertheless, we would like to make amends by giving you this new copy of Scooby-Doo: Where Are You? #7, with a kid-friendly ad as page 12, to replace the issue that we previously sent to you, which we encourage you to recycle.
On behalf of DC Comics, I wish you all the best and thank you for your devotion to Scooby and the Gang.
Scooby Dooby Doo, Dan DiDio Co-Publisher DC Comics"

Thank for sharing that letter with us. At least the ad wasn't graphic.

I find it even more odd that they put a ad in for a book that came out a year or so ago.

Up until a couple of years ago, I was a penciller for DC Comics on titles such as The Powerpuff Girls and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. In 2005, I drew a story called "Rain, Rain, Go Away," about a sea monster that causes a flood in Townsville. A month and a half after I drew this story, Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, and friends asked me if DC was withdrawing the issue. At the time, they couldn't because it was already being shipped to distributors. However, DC put forth time and effort to assist in financial and physical relief to victims of Katrina.

Thank goodness that there wasn`t any images. Guess they just have to be more careful.

I wish I had the talent to draw or color things in! All I can do is web design.
