This was a welcome surprise. I didn't think we were going to get anymore H-B content from WAC. Hopefully this isn't the last! Description: Spring is in the air, and love is in bloom for Cindy Bear! When Yogi (who's smarter than the average...) Bear plays "Robin Hood", Ranger Smith ships him away from Jellystone Park to the San Diego Zoo. Or so he thinks. Cindy hitches a ride to find Yogi in California and ends up a captive of the Chisling Bros. in Missouri! Yogi and Boo-Boo rush to her rescue and "cannot fail with Yogi on the trail!" And neither can you with this enduring family favorite, which was Hanna-Barbera's first animated theatrical feature film. Cast: Starring the voice of DAWS BUTLER as Yogi, DON MESSICK as Boo-Boo and Ranger Smith, and JULIE BENNETT as Cindy Bear Special Features and Technical Specs: NEW 4K RESTORATION FROM THE ORIGINAL CAMERA NEGATIVE 1961 Special episode from "The Yogi Bear Show" YOGI'S BIRTHDAY PARTY (HD) Original Theatrical Trailer Optional English SDH subtitles for the main feature Release Date: May 30th. www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=32465#comments

This is probably the best piece of Yogi that could come to Blu-ray, too. Very good news. I've been watching the old Yogi shorts and they're pretty funny. This film takes lots of inspiration from the shorts and puts them all together into a very cohesive and interesting film. The fact that they're restoring old properties and putting them on Blu-ray again is very encouraging to me. Perhaps Zombie Island still has a chance to make it onto Blu-ray?

But wait... there's More! King Solomon's Mines is often cited as a main inspiration for the Indiana Jones series, so I'm interested in that as well. I've read some of the original story and seen clips of various renditions of it. I'll have to preview this one to see if if it's the one I'm thinking of. It seems to be a fun, classic story. It's a very good idea to support these (especially the animated restorations) if we want to encourage the likelihood of more old Scooby on Blu-ray.

I will never understand why the more obscure, unreleased Scooby series have never been released through the Warner Archive. They would sell better than a lot of the ultra obscure HB shows that most people haven't even heard of. Hopefully it's because there may still be plans for normal releases of them.

Even if they were hesitant to release the Scrappy series, it's particularly surprising to me that they don't release The Scooby-Doo Show season 2. I feel like that would be an amazing seller among the fandom and would make WB a lot of money, so it is baffling that they still haven't released four of the episodes from that show.

That's a great point. Not even on DVD. Even the Dynomutt episodes recently got rereleased on DVD.

I've recently heard a rumor that Warner Archive isn't allowed to touch the Scooby franchise, which would make sense since even the recent TNSDMovies Blu-ray wasn't a Warner Archive release. It's unfortunate, given that Warner Archive seems to be more interested in releasing older content on disc than Warner Home Video.
