Mine would have to be "A Night of Fright is No Delight"
It's probably one of the most popular episodes, of them all and was catapulted back onto popularity with the recent Supernatural crossover. There's a good reason for its everlasting popularity for me, though. It just has everything you could ever ask for in a Scooby-Doo episode (minus a chase song ofc). The Colonel's mansion is a spooky setting, the Phantom Shadows are creepy as hell adversaries and the story holds strong, as it plays up the mystery of the disappearing relatives. The antics are really witty without every becoming overbearing and there's a certain dark atmosphere that lingers, throughout the runtime.
The back half of WAY season 1 is littered with brilliant episodes but that one takes the #1 spot for me and has done for years now. What's your favourite Scooby episode of all time and why?

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but "The Loch Ness Mess" is my favorite. I love the atmosphere and premise of the episode, the villains were neat, and I thought the Harlem Globetrotters (especially Curly and Meadowlark) felt like members of the gang in the episode. Admittedly, I think childhood nostalgia plays a lot into this one being my favorite, but it's still my favorite episode of the franchise even to this day.

That's definitely a 10/10 episode for me, as well. The scene where they meet the Redcoat & Minuteman ghosts on the desolate backroads is one of the very best!

Hmmmm, not sure I could say an absolute top episode but for me A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown is pretty much near the top for me.

There are a few in close contention including two previously mentioned: What the Hex Going On, A Night of Fright is No Delight, Nowhere to Hyde, Loch Ness Mess, and Simple Plan and the Invisible Madman, but my choice seems to have always been High Rise Hair Raiser. I loved all of the settings, the ghosts, and especially the unique and well thought out mystery

There's a lot of episodes I love, but if I could only keep one 20-minute episode, it would be Scoo-Be or Not Scoo-Be/The Stony Glare Stare. Similar to Doo's reasoning, I love the atmosphere and probably have nostalgia adding to this decision.
