You know what, I’ve been seeing Scooby stuff on twitter (memes, reaction videos or just appreciation posts) always going viral every week and I thought about doing this thread where I post all these viral tweets right when they’re blooming with likes and retweets or whatever. I think it’s very important we treat these viral posts with respect since many things that go viral take major production studios’ attention. An example is Ultra Instinct Shaggy.. or I wouldn’t be surprised if the “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You Now” mixed technique idea was inspired by the ton of “The Scooby-Doo Project” videos that went viral in the past 2 years. Also, another important case is when I tweeted about Tony Cervone relying in my private messages about Velma being gay which received a lot of attention and got people reposting and sparking different reactions. Tony Cervone then decided to go public exactly because of the social media viral attention that was getting, which coincided with James Gunn, once again, saying how in the live actions Velma was supposed to be gay. Both instances cause major social media attention and trust me when I say that is the reason we have “Velma” in the works today. All in all, this is the world we live in, so it’s time to take these tweets into consideration. The viral video of the past few days is this and it’s hilarious. And btw, reading the comments is always highly recommended cuz usually they are funnier than the post itself:

Yesterday and today is all about the amount of Scooby-Doo costumes with Velma even trending worldwide for how many times it was portrayed, especially in a sapphic or overly sexualized way!

I see this one everywhere, and it makes me particularly angry. Not only do tons of people believe that it's a real screencap, the original edit was done by a creeper (not gonna use the actual word since I'm not sure if that's against the rules here). It just contributes to the awful trend of sexualizing Daphne and Velma.
