Nowhere to Hyde has always been an episode that's landed extremely low on my "Where Are You!" ranking and Ive always felt it's a bit of a weak opener for Season 2.
I love the beginning of the episode... everything up until the point when they start searching the Mansion, in fact. After that point I feel like it becomes a rather weak haunted house tale with a far less creepy atmosphere than "What The Hex Going On?" & "A Night of Fright is No Delight" for precious examples.
I see this episode & the Ghost of Hyde ranked extremely highly on ranking lists, so I was wondering if anyone else kinda thinks this is a rather weak episode & flat opener to the the season?

I respectfully but strongly disagree haha. This is one of my favorites of the show. I found it to be creepier than most episodes and was very unique and fun. I will say that I agree that Hex and Night are both better in my opinion as well as Haunted House Hang Up in terms of haunted houses. I guess I just love haunted houses and mansions in episodes. This episode is actually better than the rest of the season in my opinion besides the aforementioned Haunted House Hang Up but Creeper and Werewolf come close

I guess I disagree as well. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is an iconic story, so it was pretty bold for such a new show (at the time) to our their own spin on the classic. I do agree that A Night of Fright is No Delight would have a good season opener though.

Good points, well made haha. I'm usually a sucker for Haunted House episodes and this is the only one that somehow doesn't click with me, very well. I do greatly appreciate the cool Jekyll & Hyde backstory and misleading clues all pointing to Helga being the culprit.
Has all the makings of an all-time great... I just wish it came together for me.

"Nowhere to Hyde"? No, but "Ghastly Ghost Town" - yes.
