Wicked episode! This episode absolutely blew me away and is my favorite of the series so far. The Hex Girls were great as always, and their repeated new catchphrases "Wicked" and "Rock and roll!' were interesting. I was surprised how aggressive they made Thorn in this episode, but it was funny. I loved that Thorn actually needed her own tranquilizer gun (held in an "in case of Thorn" fire extinguisher box), and that she wrecked her own house 8 times last week because she "just felt like it" haha. Luna and Thorn acting all girly under the curse was pretty humorous, as well. The villain was super neat too, one of the best of the series, if not the best. The gang also all had a lot of personality in this episode, which I appreciated. Their new song, "I Put a Curse on You!" was super catchy, I loved it. Amazing episode and I'd love to see more like it!

No past interactions were specifically referenced, but they did not act like they didn't know the Hex Girls.

Where can I watch this episode? And did they sing any new songs? It's not online, sorry! I've been able to see the episodes through a friend's HBO Spain subscription, which you'd otherwise have to pay for. They sing one new song, called "I Put a Curse on You!". It's decent and reminiscent of "Hex Girl."

Great episode, thought the Hex Girls looked great. Too bad they translated the song in Italian so I couldn’t hear the original version, but sounded pretty basic. Let’s keep in mind that they hired a famous music producer to compose the myster inc songs, so I knew it wasn’t going to be as quality-based. Regardless, the episode was a lot of fun, loved seeing the Hex Girls with the Mystery Inc together again, they blended in pretty well together. I’m pretty sure they went overboard with the characterization just because the poor writing of the series couldn’t have been able to handle the usual Hex Girls vibe which is just very chill and sweet. Nonetheless I loved seeing them over the top, I really want a spin off just for them. There were quite some funny moments like the Tranquilizer Gun for Thorn and Scooby and Shaggy in front of the audience. Still, they really need to tone it down with the running gags, it’s getting old and just a pretext to fill up the gaps of the show’s bad writing. Fun episode, though I wondered why the cut out Dusk so much and how was she already at the place they were going before the gang arrived? Oh well. Last episode tomorrow but this was definitely a favorite.

I'll admit I didn't notice this at all (photo courtesy of Grumpydrawer), but in the background of the dressing room there's a shot of the classic designs for both Thorn and Luna.

Heh, it was kind of funny seeing the possessed Thorn and Luna acting like The Who at their concert! It was also interesting seeing the Hex Girls redesigned in a pseudo-Iwao Takamoto style, but then again I guess it's not too surprising, since we've previously seen them designed in Warner's "house" style of the late 90s and early-to-mid 2000s, and redesigned again for "Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated." The audience also repeating what the gang and Hex Girls were saying at the unmasking was hilarious! Overall, it was a fun episode, but it still can't beat the Hex Girls's appearances in "Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost" and "Mystery Incorporated." (Especially since they didn't sing my favorite song of theirs, "I'm a Hex Girl.")

The Behind the Scoobs Instagram account posted an unused storyboard animatic for this episode, which reveals that KISS were originally supposed to be the guest stars instead of the Hex Girls. http://instagram.com/p/C2P0SKYrPAD
