Is anyone here planning on doing anything special for Scooby's 50th anniversary?
Though I do have a busy week ahead, I plan on doing at least a small marathon. So far I've watched the first nine episodes from Where Are You, the Weird Al and Sia episodes from Guess Who, and Mystery Begins.

Finished watching the Mook Animation films (Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost, Alien Invaders, Cyber Chase) and will most likely explore some of the DVD bonus features throughout the rest of this week. I'm saving a marathon of WNSD for probably October. Glad to see the franchise still going strong even 50 years later!

For the last month I've been watching the 50 episodes that were on the compilation set released in August. The DVD set hasn't come to Greece (and it never will), so the episodes I have on other DVDs I watch there and the rest from online sites. I've watched all of them so far except for "Happy Birthday Scooby-Doo" which I'm saving for Friday. I may also watch "Scooby Goes Hollywood" and 'The Mystery Begins' over the weekend. I've also been watching summer themed episodes and movies all July and August long since all my friends were on vacation and we couldn't go out. Plus the Guess Who episodes of the week and 'Return to Zombie Island'. So yeah, I've done a loooot of Scooby watching. 😁

I'll do a marathon probably with eps from as many series as possible. Not sure what episodes yet, probably do it more feel of the moment. From what it looks neither channel seems to have any thing big pre-scheduled, which isn't surprising giving the tug of war still going on. But at least Scooby has airings on both channels on his actual birthday. I suppose that's a small step up than Batman's luck (at least on the cartoon channels, live action was able to help better). I had hoped they'd have resolved that by now, but we knew it was a mess and big messes can take months to fix. At least the streaming service and the home media have us covered for a wide selection to watch.
EDIT: While Batman's anniversary popped in my head first I remembered later the one who I should have used who had far less respect for his birthday this year from CN and Boom would have to actually be Popeye. Who of course didn't even get a bump.

Friday morning I'm going to do a vlog on YouTube of me as Scooby-Doo reviewing the read-along book-and-audio set "Scooby-Doo and the Mystery of a Rider Without a Head." Then for October, I'm planning to film a live-action remake of the phony mirror scene of "Never Ape an Ape Man" to commemorate that episode's 50th anniversary. Yeah, I'm the kind of person that overdoes things.

I'm going to bake a cake, decorate and have pizza. I've saved Return to Zombie Island to watch as well as the Mystery Mansion set, and I'll watch Happy Birthday, Scooby Doo.
