At that moment, yeah, but I think it got better after that. They ended up calling a 'truce' and worked together to look for Shaggy. I'm guessing over the next couple episodes they'll start working things out further. Velma softened up a good bit, but Scooby's still working thru the new situation.
I hope they kinda work it out soon as I'd prefer more time spent on the mysteries overall.
Although they may be working them in together, I'm not sure. Last night at the end, that photo of the old MI gang that was given to Velma had a red circle around Pericles, the old pet/mascot. Maybe that's code for something coming up for Scooby, and Velma & Shaggy will have to help him or something. That's just a guess, but it was interesting.

You know, I'm starting to wonder (in a funny sort of way ) just how good a friend Shaggy actually is to Scooby, and how good a boyfriend he might make for Velma. I watched "A Clue For Scooby-Doo" last night and a couple things jumped out at me. When they first see the glowing seaweed travel into the drainpipe, Velma says "someone needs to go in there and find out what it is". Shaggy says something like "Uh, uh. Not me." Then Velma says "nope, Scooby will go in." Then Shaggy replies "Oh, well in that case..." If I'd been Scooby, I would've hoped he wouldn't send me off that casually. And when they're entering into Widow Cutler's spooky lighthouse, he points at the open door and says "Ladies first" and makes Velma go in front. Not exactly the model of chivalry. Just thought it was funny and probably wouldn't have paid attention if we hadn't been talking about them. Mark

Shaggy's a darn good friend to Scooby, he trys to save him if ever in trouble. Take that Witches Ghost movie, Scooby got caught by the witch and Shaggy went back for him and tried putting water on her thinking she'd melt LOL. I mean, if we are wondering about friendship, we can question Scooby too, he often leaves Shaggy behind too when he needs help. In the end both come to each others rescue. In every movie/series you can tell both care very much about each other dispite that. Now a boyfriend? Not sure, the only time Shaggy was a great boyfriend was to Crystal from the Alien Invaders movie. To Googie he didn't get it LOL I'm curious if Velma/Shaggy will last who knows. Maybe they'll just decide to go back to being good friends?

I don't like this fighting between Shaggy, Scooby and Velma. It's getting annoying now. I want them to focus on the mysteries and not let this turn into a soap opera, and now it's turning into just that. The pants thing was bad enough, but now Scooby and Velma are fighting over Shaggy? It's taking away from what the show is about. I love the series, but could totally do without the bickering and dating woes.

Agreed SA! This is the one thing I don't like about the new show. It's really bringing it down.

I wouldn't let it bring you down too soon. Only because I have a feeling the Shaggy/Velma/Scooby story is going to work its way into the Mr. E mystery fairly soon. Maybe with the upcoming Fright Hound episode. It may seem like a distraction/soap opera at the moment, but I have faith the producers/writers have a good story arc planned that's going to weave these seemingly unrelated events together by the end. Can't promise it but that's my hope. These guys seem to have a reason for everything they've included in the show, and I'd be really surprised if they've created all this tension between the characters and fans alike without a larger end purpose in mind.
