Wondering if anyone could solve my confusion regarding the release of episodes of TSDS being released as the 3rd season of SDWAY. As I tried to research this, I just ran into further confusion. Is TSDS just a created compilation of episodes that aired under Dynomutt Hour, WAY, and Scooby’s All Stars? Being from a later generation I’m curious how the episodes originally aired as I am now confused!

Unfortunately, I've also seen a lot of different ways of categorizing those episodes. I think episodes originally aired under The Scooby-Doo Show, and the "Where Are You Third Season" was just a marketing gimmick (though I can't say for sure, as I wasn't alive then either).
From what I've seen, the first season was repackaged as "The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour" as they originally aired back-to-back, though I don't believe it was called this until it was later rerun. Scooby's All Stars was a repackaging of the third season, which was later renamed "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" for the DVD sets. The episodes originally airing under The Dynomutt Hour/All Stars name wouldn't make sense, as it would leave the remaining eight season 2 episodes just floating out there in the void.
That's always been my logic I guess, but no idea if I'm right or not.

Back in time, compilation shows were a bigger deal. Many of us raised later however are far more familiar with many of these spun off into their own separate half hours. The first season of TSDS aired as a part of a Dynomutt Hour. The second season was aired as a part of the Laff-a-lympics block. The third season originally aired as Scooby Doo Where Are before being put back into the block. All three seasons however now have been repackaged and seen far more often in TSDS format most of us first saw them in.
It can be confusing at times, especially when certain sites don't always give out consistent information for those of us who you know weren't around back then lol.
I will also reiterate that even though I am totally thankful for all the releases and will continue supporting them as far as some of the branding decisions WB has made regarding Scooby and others I can't make a lick of sense out of them. In my head I say to myself "they totally should be uniform" and then well they just aren't. So I'm not making predictions on what that potential set of the Season 2 may be called or not.
