Admittedly I'm a bit surprised they're actually killing off Fred here, though I suppose it definitely does fit with the "darker" tone of this series.

OK, I am really not liking these new covers. They are just too edgy for me.

My reactions: What the heck is this? Who are these people? What have we missed? For goodness's sake, I guess the perfect pacing was too good to last. I don't mind when someone drops someone in the future and explains how they got there via well placed flashbacks, but overdoing it is irritating. "Daphne's so different since Fred died." Says Cliffy. Um, no, no, she's not. She's still the angry, moody, abrasive person since last issue. OK, she's mellowed out a teeny bit. "Raphne needs time." Scooby being all wise is kinda freaking me out. I mean, he's right. I guess it would feel more natural coming from someone like Daisy. ... SIX MONTHS?! They dumped us six freaking months in the future? Oh, they did not just do that. Go back to when Fred died and go tell us the story STRAIGHT. That is so, so, SO lazy. Ugh, I know that stereotype-kid doesn't do chores, gets yelled at. But man, it's OOC. The writers have established Cliffy's a kid, but he's seen a lot. He's mature (more mature then SA Scrappy) "You don't want to rob me of my precious childhood, do you?" Oh my gosh. Cliffy. Sweet, sensitive, kindhearted, mature little Cliffy is being a stereotypical little brat. What. See, if the writers hadn't totally skipped six months of developement, then we'd understand that better. Or not, since he was acting normal a moment ago. No, I guess it's the writers just having the characters act to whatever tailors the story. Sigh. "It feels like a dream." Ooh, maybe it is a dream again. Jonestown. After Fred. OK, that's lit. I'm down with that. A terrible name? Do you realize just how common that name is? .......Oh, THAT Jonestown. OK, I see the point, but seriously, that's like putting a taboo on the time 'Ted' because of Ted Bundy. It's just really frivolous. Shaggy, she's not being authoritarian. Get your words right. What the...what the...? Scrappy SA... Wait, he hates Scooby Again? MAKE UP YOUR MIND OMG I know I thought that their friendship was forced, but if you're gonna do it that way, you should stick with it. Next: Dog Eat Dog Heeeeyyyy, they already named something after this! (I think?)
