Amongst the websites talking about the new Scooby series there are some saying BCSD was renewed and others not mentioning it at all. Im very confused. Jcb, know anything? I'm guessing by this line in the Deadline article that it just means the last 11 episodes will be added to the streaming service in the US (they still haven't been yet). That's what I thought as well but the Hollywood Reporter has a line saying: "In addition, Boomerang has renewed several original series, including Be Cool Scooby-Doo!, Bunnicula, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, New Looney Tunes, The Tom and Jerry Show and Wacky Races." and for all of them apart from BCSD they talk about new seasons explicitly

My guess is it's what Doo said - they mean they will finally add the rest of season 2 sometime in the next 5-10 years. This has been the slowest and most confusing rolling out of a series I've ever seen. Strange that it wasn't a huge hit considering how lovingly they've treated it.

It's not your fault that they treated it so poorly. It's a fine show. Whenever I think about it I think of "bumbling Fred" in the "Party Like It's" episode haha.

You know what else would be cool? A series where every episode focuses of ancestors of the gang from a different time period. One could focus on the stone age ancestors of the Gang in the time of the Flintstones:
Scaly-doo (a wolf) Slaggy Rockgers Velma Dinkrock Daphne Brick and Fred Stones.
Another could focus on ancestors of the gang from the 1920s. Another could be about the roman empire era ancestors:
Scoobius-Dooius
Shaggy Hrothgar
Velma Dinkle (a Germanic)
Daphne blāc (a Scots)
And Fredricus Jonesium.

Another episode could actually focus on descendants of the gang from a few centuries into the future. Two of them could be descendants of Shaggy and Velma (either siblings or cousins) and the other two could be descendants of Fred and Daphne. They could all look exactly like their present day ancestors. Shaggy's and Velma's male descendants could look like Shaggy and females could look like Velma. Ditto with Fred's and Daphne's bloodline.

Wouldn't Scaly-Doo make more sense for a species that's, y'know, scaly?

Wouldn't Scaly-Doo make more sense for a species that's, y'know, scaly? I didn't want Scooby's prehistoric ancestor to be a dinosaur since in order for Scooby to be his descendant, he'd have to be a prehistoric wolf.

I just couldn't come up with a better Flintstones style name for him. Somehow Stoney-Doo doesn't seem to fit. I guess they could call him Howly-Doo.
