I doubt it. My guess is they'll work through their differences and this awkward phase over the next few episodes and end up finding a way to make it work for all three of them.
I know it's frustrating at the moment, but the story has to develop or there wouldn't be a show.
I mean for example if the Mr. E mystery was solved in the first few episodes, there wouldn't be any more story to that.
And if the villain was known at the beginning of each episode, there'd be nothing for them to solve and work through over the next 25 minutes.
It's the same with the relationships. They can't be perfect and harmonious right from the start, or there'd be nothing to develop over the rest of the season.
It's pretty much certain that the writers aren't going to want people to hate Velma permanently, nor break up Shaggy & Scooby and so forth, so they're bound to work this out to where everyone will be happy by the end. I'd just try to not get too upset about it for now, and just enjoy the rest of each episode until they get to that point. The show's been too good to let this one plot element ruin it for you.

Mark Couldn`t agree more with you! Just give it time, trust me, the way Velma is acting bugs me quite abit too. But I`m sure things will settle nicely.

It is really annoying the way Velma is acting, but I so agree with ahkyahnan that they will most likely tone down the bossiness and find a common ground. I just hope that happens soon. I'm really not liking the way Velma is acting. The Song of Mystery was a rough episode to watch because Velma was trying to change everything about Shaggy that makes him Shaggy. I still have the last 2 episodes to watch...there just isn't enough time!! I'm hoping to watch them tonight though.

seems like them breaking up or at least velma being less bossy would make a lot of people really happy, me being one of them, bossy velma just isnt like the old friendly velma Im used to,you know the smart one who understood human behavior this ones intelligent but lacks people skills and common sense, I mean she was shaggys friend before she was his girlfriend she should know better that to treat him (and others around her) like she is, new velma is nasty.

Please see my thread on whether or not Velma was asking for it (since "Freight Hound").
