The 50th anniversary of Scooby is coming up next year. Do you think WB will acknowledge this or make a special?

The optimistic side of me would like to hope so, but WB's current treatment of the franchise makes me doubt it. I'm still confused as to why the theatrical movie/S.C.O.O.B. isn't being released in September 2019. Given they were originally going to release it in September 2018 around the 49th anniversary, it would have made so much more sense to just push it back to the 50th anniversary, rather than a random date in May 2020.

i doubt there will be much to mark the 50th anniversary, personally I'm minded to agree. Now it is possible that DC might do something as they have been making much better use of the old HB franchises that WB has. It would be nice if they had something hidden away to reveal for the anniversary but I doubt it.

yeah, unfortunately. if cartoon network was the same as it was in the 90s, we'd have scooby on all the time. we'd have had all episodes of Be cool aired, and lots of promos for the show. but CVartoon Netweorkk today is not even a shadow of its old self.

With the 50th Anniversary next year...it would be dumb if WB didn't do something, but i'm actually thinking DC would be better off doing something given that the people at DC actually know what they are doing. If DC does something...maybe tell us if a version of Mystery Inc exists on Earth 0 (main dcu timeline) since we know that the traditional version is present on Earth 23 (as Batman: TBATB and all HB cartoons as seen back in the day take place there), give us marathons, adress beefs with the fans, hold a few events, give Q&A's with living voice actors etc.

Then I could get the Harley and Ivy meet Daphne and Velma comic I want.

That is an interesting comic idea...especially since Ivy is the only one who can tame the physco-shrink that is Harley...wonder what Daphne & Velma think. Side note: If an Earth 0 Mystery Inc exists...everyone but Fred, Scrappy, and Googie has a codename if they join the league or operate independent (Daphne=Fashion sense, Velma=Bookworm, Shaggy=Commander Cool, Scooby=Mellow Mutt)...the opposite is true about Flim Flam..that kid needs a real name as Flim Flam sounds like a codename.

Well they don't have to join anything, just be in DCU main continuity. The prime reason is that it gives DC more opportunities to use them. The modern Harley is borderline chaotic good, no more Joker's Stockholder Syndrome sidekick. Given the right story I think a Harley and Ivy meet Daphne and Velma would be a good mini series.

I'd be down for a comic set in the main DCU. Actually i would prefer this over Scooby Apocalypse.

I would like a new Scooby Doo comic to follow, but not another Where Are You or Team-up, a T rated book. For all its faults Apocalypse has shown there is a market for grown-up Scooby. And while we're at it we could bring back Madelyn Dinkley and pair her with Zatanna, or have Madelyn attend Mystic U. Another fun pairing with Daphne and Velma could be Harley and Power Girl, they've had some fun together. There is a Super Sons Blue Falcon crossover in the works. We could have Blue Falcon, the gang, Madelyn and Zatanna. So many possibilities. Let's do our own 50th event.

I hate CN nowadays. Loved their late 90s and early 00s programming. I wish they showed Scooby more.
