It looks really great, I can't wait for the movie to come out!

I honestly am not a fan of these cross-over movies with people like WWE and KISS. I think they don't focus on Scooby-Doo the way they should and are truly banking on financial success because they're plastering big names like KISS on their DVD covers. I know the whole point of making new movies is to make money but I don't think these movies really match up well to others in the franchise.

I tend to agree and while the WWE and KISS movies had their moments I felt each contained too much branded 'filler' for my liking. This filler then squeezes out 'gang time' which in turn messes with the storytelling.

Just seen the trailer, singularly uninspired.

It is directed by Tim Divar, who hasn't directed a Scooby movie before. He has, however, been a storyboard artist for Samurai Sword and Big Top.
He also directed episodes of Young Justice.

I get KISS as they've been active since the 70's but WWE has a constantly changing roster and I doubt they'll be considered timeless. I think the DTVs of Scooby and DC both have been really lacking lately, there hasn't been a great one of either in such a long time.

Hopefully they've put their 'A' team on S.C.O.O.B.

Hopefully they've put their 'A' team on S.C.O.O.B. They should be able to hare simultaneously good things. Apocalypse and Be Cool are quite good, the DTVs are the only thing lacking at the moment.

That's easier said than done, A film is a lot harder to write than a 20 minute show, the New Scooby Doo Mysteries showed what happens when you take a 20 minute plot and stretch it over 40 minutes. Do the same for a 60=90 minute film and it's even more painful. Gluing 3 or 4 episodes together isn't as bad but does make for a disjointed film. For a high-profile release like S.C.O.O.B. they need to put good people on it, then have strong creative control over it and who's looked back and seen what works and what has been less successful.

The point I was trying to make is the DTVs lately have been poor quality and they should really get a new team, so that everything would be good.

I disagree with that. The only dtv one in the recent years that felt a little weak to me was Moon Monster Madness. I look forward to this far more than Be Cool or Apocalypse.
But I really want to see how S.C.O.O.B. is going to work out. The wait for more information there is going to be killer for the time we have to wait.

Well compromised then, can't help feeling that the KISS and WWE ones would have been better with less KISS and WWE in them.

Hm, looks good enough. But they seem to have crammed a lot of superstars in this one. Most likely the'll have, what, one line. It's pretty disappointing that they won't keep Mindy for this one. Kate is good for Be Cool and the LEGO franchise... but this DTV? Don't know... The animation looks a little too cartoony, similar to the one of Rock and Roll Mystery. And the changes in previously seen WWE superstars are obvious, especially Vince McMahon. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to this new movie.

I just added that I'm not bothered by it. As I see it pretty similar to the New Scooby Movies era, to me it always felt like Scooby had to give up some of the time on his show to add shtick of the guest star. But that never really made me enjoy the movie less. I suppose a person not liking what that shtick is though sees that VERY differently than I do. Honestly though I think the Kiss one was one of the better switches WB delivered in these recent years. I think most of us expected it to be just be more typical in Scooby meets Band, help band solve mystery, band sings some songs. I don't think anyone called it was going to the HB super-powered Kiss from Phantom of the Park and Scooby was going to end up in a whole other dimension. I expect they put that same kind of wider thinking into Scoob and whatever follows. We're set up for a animated Scooby theatrical movie, with only a spy themed title. I think they could easily pull off something that wows most of us.

No more Mindy? That's a shame...i thought Linda would get to do Velma next...seeing as Lillard got Shaggy that seemed to be "live action cast is next in line thing." Kate seems too sassy for dtvs. Linda probably would be better and as usual looks like only Fred Scooby & Daphne aren't getting voice changes any time soon, though when and if they did change them hopefully they go with Robbie and Kate as Fred and Daphne whenever that day comes (which we know probably isn't going to happen until the day Frank and likely Grey kicks the bucket)
