I love this guy, because I love it when creators take characters and really give them personalities and quirks and such. World building and character creation is my favorite part of writing too.

Nice interview! I didn't realize you worked on Phineas and Ferb too. Season 2 I was afraid this was going to get canceled and we wouldn't get a new show til 2018, to coexist with the film. Potentially having 52 episodes in a satire tone is very exciting!

Cool, a season 2! If we ever see it with the way CN messes up the schedule. I'd like to see if the show could run for a third season without repeating itself and dragging it too far. I guess we'll be able to tell halfway through season 2.

I'd love to just see these episodes get aired so we can see their development, instead of all this stopping and starting. I get that there are breaks and stuff, but Cartoon Network really is ridiculous when it comes to this. The one thing that ruined it for me with SDMI were the sudden breaks in airing. Momentum is everything, and when you lose that, everything is gets lost. Maybe it's not the same with a series that doesn't have an arc, but when you want to see how these characters are going to take shape, it can be kind of annoying. It's finding itself, but I have yet to see anything too big. And again I know this isn't an arc series, but we've still been told we're going to know exactly who the gang are by the end of the season, so I imagine by the end of this season, and then being able to watch the entire first season through, that will give a scope of how things began and where they will be at the end.

Yes, but again, not in any "large arc" way. First season establishes our version of the characters and the voice and tone of the show. Second season starts taking those established characters and messing with them, throwing them into strange and interesting situations more and more. I agree it would ideal if the network showed a little more consistency which would allow the audience to find the show.

Yeah! I was afraid with what I read before I started the show that there would be no great character relationships. But thankfully there were a lot of sweet moments in the episodes that have aired. Not romantic of course but very nice friendship moments.
While I'd like an arc... That's not a deal breaker to me anymore. I've started watching What's New Scooby Doo and I'm loving that and there's not continuous arc or really any shipping stuff in that either. So I really am enjoying BCSD way more than I thought. I'm glad I decided to give it a chance.

It'll be nice to see "Some Fred Time". I imagine it will be like "A Day in the Life of Fred" or at least obviously some him time. I hope Daphne (maybe the others) starts to act like Fred, so he can't get a break.
