Do you think that Frank Welker would have been a good choice to voice Shaggy?

Has he ever performed that voice before? He's talented but it would be hard to tell without hearing him do something like it.

He did a little in Scooby Doo in Where's My Mummy, when Daphne asked him to answer as Shaggy and Scooby would.

I think Frank Welker is very talented and could probably pull it off.

I think he'd have done a good job as Shaggy but than he'd be like Seth of the show, voicing three characters. I think they got the right person for him, its so cool how they got the actor of Shaggy to be the real Shaggy. I really liked him, felt he did a good Shaggy.

Yep, exactly my opinion. Frank Welker is an unquestionably good voice actor, but with him already voicing Fred and Scooby, a third voice would be too much.
Besides, Matthew is a really good Shaggy.

Frank Welker is extremely talanted, and does great at voicing both Scooby and Fred, but I don't think he would be right for voicing Shaggy. If he did voice Shaggy, I think I would be able to hear slight bits of Fred's voice in Shaggy, and that wouldn't be right.
