Any one notice how they tend to do this? In the older episodes more so though. Like in one of the 80s films Scooby got freaked about the writing on the screen that was introducing there characters and shaggy thought he meant lightning but he really did mean writing lol and pulled the introduction circle over to shaggy annoying him cuz he was driving. Any ways, what's your favorite break the fourth wall joke? Lets discuss

I think I went off on this in another thread, but having a stage reverence I get very troubled to see people using "fourth wall" to mean anything but the audience. As the term originates on the stage, to break forth wall is to address the audience that normally you are pretend is not there.
To do anything that makes a character reveal he's in a movie, or to point out something that the character should be oblivious to or for an actor to stop playing a role, is "breaking character". It seems of the internet today a lot of people will use "breaking the fourth wall" to mean either of these two examples, which often makes my historical blood boil.
However onto the actual topic at hand.
I think my favorite over all is that very joke in Ghoul School with Scooby seeing the "riting" and Shaggy thinking he means lightning.
