Sneak peak:
“Like, is it just me or are we about to knock on Dracula’s front door?”
Shaggy and Scooby were standing on the front porch of an old crumbling house with shattered windows that had vines growing out of them. The surrounding field was covered in tall grass that was being hit by each and every rain drop falling from the grey sky. The gang had been hired by an old woman to head over to her brother’s house and retrieve her ring, and Scooby and Shaggy hadn’t thought the job sounded so bad. Now, however, they weren’t so sure.
“Rot just rou,” Scooby confirmed.
Shaggy gulped and reached for the door knocker shaped like a screaming face. Just as he was about to touch it, the door swung open.
“So, Fred said the house was abandoned,” Shaggy said. “But, like, it doesn’t really look that way…”
The dark green wallpaper was brand new, and the vintage furniture was arranged neatly. There was a brand new phone of the table surrounded by comfortable looking chairs. Suddenly, the phone began to ring.
“Like, go get it, will ya Scoob?” asked Shaggy.
“Rokay!” barked Scooby. He strolled over to the phone and picked it up.
Shaggy bent over and began searching for the ring. He and Scooby hadn’t been paying much attention when Velma had told them where it was.
“Rello?” said Scooby.
“What are you doing here?” replied a distant, eerie voice.
Scooby gulped and tapped Shaggy on the back.
“What is it Scoob, can’t you see I’m busy?” he asked.
“For rou,” said Scooby.
“It’s for me?” asked Shaggy. “Okay.”
Scooby handed him the phone.
“Get… out…” the voice moaned.
“Like, zoinks!” cried Shaggy, dropping the phone. “Let’s get outta here!”
Scooby and Shaggy bolted out of the house, not bothering to close the door behind them.
