Here are the links to two very interesting audios in the SDMI archives. I found them while browsing through tony Cervone's twitter

Now, after watching these, especially the interview, It was nice to finally get a bit of behind the scenes into the making of the series. It's too bad that it took over a year after the series ended though to find the interview (not sure when it was published exactly, says april 2013 but it's strange that I couldn't find it before). The show really was a masterpiece and a gift to the Scooby Doo franchise and it's a shame that it wasn't treated by CN the way it deserved to be treated. I've been watching scooby doo since I was a little kid and it's always been one of my favorite shows but mystery incorporated is the only scooby doo show that I can easily say is my favorite Tv show of all time, not just of cartoons, but any show. As someone who watched almost every episode as soon as each was avaliable, since the day the show began till it ended, I can honestly say that the love they gave the scooby doo franchise, specifically the originals while making the show just blew me away, not only because the feel of the show was the same, but because they gave the characters even more depth than they already had. As far as the interview, it was very interesting too learn SPOILER (that season 2 wasn't planed completely until season 1 production ended in late 2010 and that they didn't quite know where they were going with the show after the freak had been revealed as mayor fred jones Sr). It was also interesting to learn the dynamic of the shows production. It appears to me that the show was greenlit for 2 seasons (52 episodes) at the beginning but that if they were allowed to do more by CN they would have. At least they did get to wrap to the show up by episode 52 (they probably knew season 2 was going to be the last by the time they started making season 2 in january 2011), but just imagine if they had more seasons; what they could have done to elaborate on the story. Michael ryan did say in the interview that if CN called him and asked the SDMI production crew to make more, they would gladly do it, which makes me think that the shows fate depended more on CN that the network made us think. It is a bit complex though, because it's not as if the show was completley cancelled, it did get an ending, but many things that could have been elaborated on were not because the show just didn't have enough time. Now, something that I see most of us this site agree on is the way CN tried to shove SDMI out of the way with the long hiatus', strange air-times, back to back episodes (this almost proved the wanted the show out of the way), and most importantly, not enough promotion or publicity for the show. If they really cared about the show, they would have given it a lot more general trailers that really sold it to the audience as well as episodes one a week for 26 weeks strait (for each season) and a promo for each episode. I believe the show has earned a sequel and if CN listened to all the fans this show has, they would allow tony cervone, mitch watson, and the rest of the crew to eventually continue. If things go the way I think most scooby fans want them to go, after be cool scooby doo runs as much ti,e as creators of it need, some sort sequel deserves to be in the works to make up for the way CN treated poor SDMI. Now, this doesn't undermine my excitement for be cool scooby doo, the comments the production crew for that show has made seem very promising and it great that we have one of them on our site now (if I haven't said it before, welcome!). Now I do have some ideas for an SDMI sequel and SDMI has inspired me to spend a portion of my life in the scooby doo industry (that may take a while though, as I'm still in college). Still, I'm working right now on a potential raw outline for a 52 episode sequel show (the one I started posting last december I gave up on). I do hope to eventually have a chance to somehow be a part of a future SDMI sequel as I'm sure many fans hope as well. Some things that could potentially be elaborated on include crystal cove's history and all the previous groups (rocksunner did an excellent fanfic on that btw, congrats rocksunner!), the sitting room, continuing the character arcs, the annunaki, the alternate timeline and what happened to the old one, as well as new Ideas I have that I don't want to spoil. Well, I hope you guys liked this post as it's hard to find behind the scenes of SDMI. Also, if you get a chance, check out the miniature movie sets I build of SDMI, links to those videos are in another thread in the SDMI section. Anyways, I know it won't happen soon, but with all the potential entrepreneurs of this endeavor, fans and producers alike, lets keep our fingers crossed for an eventual sequel!
