It's actually a more official release of this DVD, it was previously released in Europe.

Yippee, another double-dip DVD, and with my least favorite episode of "What's New Scooby-Doo" (it rips off "The Great Mouse Detective," one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, which I'm sure a lot of members here don't like.) I am instead getting the Looney Tunes DVD "Porky Pig and Friends," as it has new-to-DVD shorts, including a couple episodes of "What's New Looney Tunes" ("Bunny and Claude" and its sequel "The Great Carrot Train Robbery.")

Interesting to see the "new" Scooby releases are all just coming through on things we already knew. Here's hoping they earned enough money to give us a couple more of the season sets soon.
I asked Warner Archive about the episodes of Richie Rich and the Puppy that wouldn't need to be released with Scooby and they gave me a cryptic answer of "wait and see". I really didn't think they would tackle those until Warner Home Video did their sets in conjunction with Scooby.
If Freddy was here I bet he'd say we might have a mystery on our hands. I get the inkling something is brewing over at WB. And this in the bigger picture is not long after those two parties started discussing how to handle the New Tom and jerry/Grape Ape/Mumbly show. Hmmm this might be the break through we've been waiting for the last 3 years!

^ Hopefully. I know Warner Archive generally won't reveal their plans ahead of any public press release. I asked this week if they were ever going to release "Clue Club", one of my favorite HB series', and they replied by thanking me for my continued interest but they cannot reveal any information on future plans.

They vary on what they say. They will eventually be releasing everything as long as rights issues don't get in the way. Clue Club is expected soon. It was said to be getting started work on earlier in the year by them. The middle of the year was stalled out due to Captain Caveman and Space Stars being bigger projects that needed more time and money to complete.
We've got a few weeks left for releases from them. We're still expecting a Flintstones release based on an article from earlier in the year that everything else came through on. But i wouldn't be surprised if they slip out at least one other. And Clue Club would be my best guess. Unless of course there's some kind of master problem that made it more lengthy.
However back to Scooby, how long do you think WB will stretch out these "and the" releases and Goal? I'm pretty sure they've had these all planned long term for a while, so any change in their strategy would probably take a while to catch up with the actual products.

I kinda wish we would get the Scrappy seasions through Warner Archive. WB doesn't seem to care much about releasing those seasons.

Scrappy isnt exactly a popular character among the Scooby fandom. Don't pretend he's not. He's always had a vocal opposition but it was never as big as the internet pretends it is. And WB doesn't want to hide him. That was nothing more than sloppy reporting based on two dvd releases. Anyone still believing that must not have seen that since then he's been mentioned on three of his releases, he's regurally featured on the random episode sets, even on the cover of one, has all of his seasons on sale digitally with his name in the title, in the description and him featured on the display picture. The only reason we don't have the Scrappy season sets done is the same reason we don't have the non scrappy season sets done. WHV is stalling out either for greed or fund raising. But this is the same company that just delivered true on three of their stalled season set programs this year. There is little doubt they will do the rest of the Scooby's eventually too. They are quite transparent that WHV still have the plans since otherwise WA would have probably done them all already. There's no conspiracy to hide Scrappy, the conspiracy is to believe they are hiding Scrappy.

One redeeming quality about this DVD is that it provides another option for getting a physical copy of “Vampires, Bats and Scaredy Cats”, never yet released on a Season Set. It’s still available on the “Spookiest Tales” DVD, but not always easy to find except online.

Forunately, Spookiest Tales was available in Greece as well (the original one, with the English cover and Greek subtitles) some years ago and I was able to grab the last copy from the market shelves.

The DVD is now out. Probably most of us will skip it, but if it comes to Greece (although I'm now expecting For the Love of Snack), I'll buy it. I miss Fit Night Out for Bats.
