So its all over guys. Last night I watched the last episode of SD:MI. The last few episodes of the series were just amazing. I am so impressed with this series. I love the mature feel of the series(which I liked all along), the whole butterfly effect ending to the show was really cool(for anyone who has seen the movie butterfly effect), and the storyline overall was just really well done and kept me interested. I have always deep down wanted to see a scooby-doo series done like this. I am glad WB delivered. I am sad the show has ended but honestly, with the storyline it had two seasons was enough. Sometimes shows get dragged on and it loses its excitment. MI went at a great steady pace with some filler episodes that were really good and didnt feel out of place.
So yeah, overall, I loved SD:MI! I really hope this isnt the last series for our favorite mysteries solvers. Hopefully WB has something up their sleves to keep this franchise alive.
So tell me, what are your opinions on the series as a whole?

I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the overarching plotline- it really helped to keep me in suspense. I also liked how there was a lot of character development in this series as well. I also loved the humor ( the actor has been judged!) and the fact that in the end it was the gang's love, friendship and loyalty that saved everything. This series was beautifully done and I can't wait to see what's next.

"...So stand as one defiant yes, and let your voices swell. Stare that beastie in the face and really give him hell..." Beastie by Jethro Tull.
Reminds me of the gang in the final episode.

I'm very mixed when it comes to this series. On one hand, I love the more mature take on things. The mysteries were for the most part very interesting, although sometimes too over-the-top. The continuous plot kept me invested and I loved learning new things. There were also times where you could really feel the gang bonding as a solid group of friends, especially at the end. BUT, the show was so filled with OOC moments and really ruined our beloved gang. Daphne went from being a mature, leading woman to a love-sick idiot who couldn't stop obsessing over Fred. Fred was a trap-obsessed freak, and Velma was....a "you-know-what". I couldn't stand the forced Fraphne and there were points where the OOC moments were unbearable. Also, don't get me started on the voice work! What were they thinking casting Frank Welker as Scooby?! Grey and Mindy fail to live up to the predecessors and are almost unbearable. Frank Welker was sometimes...too over-the-top. Matthew Lillard was at least tolerable, but I would've HIGHLY preferred Scott to return. Overall, I give this a five out of ten. It was too OOC and you can tell WB is milking the franchise for all it's worth...

I personally miss the 90s scooby doo shows and movies up until around 2010. Whats New Scooby Doo especially, and even the very original scooby doo show way back. To me, this show was OK, but it sort of ruined my childhood scooby doo that i loved... Even though i'm 'too old' for scooby doo, if im browsing through channels and find it on i will watch it, and i like remembering my childhood. This show was to grown up in my opinion - with the complicated mysteries, and the maturity and the love interests.. Scooby doo is for kids! and i want it to stay that way, i like feeling like a kid again watching it. I liked how you could watch the episodes out of order instead of having to watch previous episodes to keep up with the show. I hate the way the show looks - the new way of drawing the characters. Personally, i wish they would go back to the feel and look of the characters in say, "Pirates Ahoy", "Zombie Island", "Wheres my Mummy" etc. The plots were interesting, the characters were drawn well not this modern weird cartoony crap, music was good, and the show was interesting and perfect for kids. Some of these movies would actually scare me as a kid - like Zombie Island - and i like it, i have some fond memories of scooby doo from my childhood. they should stop making it so grown up - its a kids show. little kids couldn't entirely watch this new series and understand everything, and it wasn't the funny loving scooby gang we're all used to. just saying. Someday i'll find the old scooby shows and movies on DVD so my kids can watch them and have the fond scooby memories that i had for young kids i would not show them this show - too grown up. its weird and not right if you ask me...

Any one else miss the old days of scooby doo? They don't have to make scooby and the gang all grown up and make the show more mature, i would still watch the good old scooby movies and shows. Great for reliving our childhood scooby can always put me in a good mood, sometimes when im sick and stuck in bed i'll still watch old scooby episodes and movies.
