Episode 19 is here on that Watch Cartoons Online site!! I'll let you look at it before we all talk about it, but I've gotta give you at least one hint: Daphne and Shaggy (& Scooby) sort of change places! ;D It's a fun episode!

This was a fun episode good to see Van Ghoul but certainly not my favorite of the unaired ones but not my least favorite either

Yes, I think this episode was on the same "distraction" level as the "Mystery State Finals" one, albeit without Scooby's dream sequence. I guess the writers wanted to give us something a little offbeat, giving us a break before they hit us with some heavy closing episodes. Speaking of which, anybody catch what Velma was looking through when she received the phone call? I think it was the stolen chest (stolen evidence, btw), courtesy of Mr. E, from Darrow University, in the episode "The Shrieking Madness"! It appears that she's the one keeping it for the gang. It wouldn't surprise me if she's doing the same thing with the puzzle piece from "Escape From Mystery Manor". Being the brains, it would naturally fall to Velma to examine the chest for clues to expose the secret curse and treasure of Crystal Cove. Unfortunately, it also represented to me Velma being the "odd one out" while Shaggy and Scooby were with Van Ghoul, and Fred and Daphne were on a date at the Bloody Steak. I feel sorry for her a little... <

Interesting episode. Played the "tinkle" card a few too many times, but not a bad installment. Bonus points to Maurice MaMarche for his uncanny soundalike of Vincent Price (original voice of Van Ghoul on The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo).

I agree, ccook. In addition to being a pleasant diversionary episode, it paid homage, I suspect, to The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo (and Vincent Price). I can say that SD:MI doesn't take itself too seriously, even after the last few episodes.

Unfortunately, it also represented to me Velma being the "odd one out" while Shaggy and Scooby were with Van Ghoul, and Fred and Daphne were on a date at the Bloody Steak. I feel sorry for her a little... < For this reason, part of me actually wants Velma to leave the gang...just to see how that will affect the whole plot. No, no, no. ;D If Velma left, the gang would fall apart. She's the brains. I honestly don't think it's over between her and Shaggy, not yet, anyway. Clues: (1) Anybody catch how she was hugging Shaggy's arm while they were all out asleep in that trap in "Escape From Mystery Manor"? Take another look just in case. (2) What made Shaggy go straight to Velma in "Where Walks Aphrodite" while Velma was waiting for science class to start? I suppose it's possible the villainess herself could've directed him to do so to get Mystery Inc. out of the way, but how'd she know where Velma was? (3) Shaggy sure bent over backwards in in "WWA" denying he felt anything towards Velma, didn't he, unlike Velma, who clearly looked hurt when she thought about it. Methinks Shaggy doesn't want to go to deep into what he's really feeling.

Yes, I watched another episode! I have been getting tons of emails asking when I am going to put the villains from season 2 on the site. People keep sending me links to the watchcartoonsonline site saying I can watch them there and add the villains. I have to watch the episodes to get the villains, and I hate to disappoint people. So I am watching them and taking the screenshots and will add the villains to the site in the next few days.
With that said, this episode was pretty kewl! Maurice LaMarche did great with the voice of Vincent Van Ghoul. You almost couldn't tell it wasn't Vincent Price! Daphne was pretty funny when she was eating more than Scooby and Shaggy usually do! I liked the idea of the episode, they thought they were having dinner with Van Ghoul because they won a contest, which turned into it being a haunted house, which they turned out to be actors, and then it really was haunted by nightfright and the whole thing was just a reality show. I also noticed Velma seems to be the odd one out, but really hope she doesn't leave the gang because her role is so important. I think my favorite part was when Van Ghoul was pretending not to be afraid of nightfright to lure him back to his room. I could have done without all the tinkle references though. There is such a thing as TMI, even in cartoons!!

i liked the tinkle bit especially as Scooby was the first one to say it. I to thought that Maurice did an excellent job for the voice work. Does anyone think they will bring back 13 ghosts of Scooby and update it a little?

This must be the best episode of the season, after the finale. Vincent Van Ghoul was really funny, and I like both his actor and warlock version from 13 Ghosts. And Maurine LaMarche was just perfect, I really wouldn't like to hear Vincent Price - if he was alive, that is - to play a funny character.

Um... what about Egghead from Batman? According to his daughter Victoria, that was perhaps Price's favorite role to play. Although I never did like him getting mixed up with Olga and her crazy Cossacks-- on his own, Egghead could be both quirky and quite menacing. After all, using just his smarts, Eggy legally took over the city (if just briefly) and came perilously close to figuring out Batman's secret identity.

This is definitely a favorite of mine as well. I just think this episode is a ton of fun. I loved Vincent in this (Would much rather watch this than Curse of the 13th Ghost), and episodes like this and Mystery Solvers State Finals show that this series can do fun and comedy focused episodes just as well as the dark and mysterious episodes it is known for
