I noticed that too. I think it's just a creative decision made by the respective writers though. As I recall, Coolsville was only used in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and the live action shows, all of which lean a little more to the humorous, tongue-in-cheek side of things. To me personally, "Coolsville" always seemed a little cheesy sounding, and since the new "Mystery Incorporated" series is going in a little more realistic direction, the writers probably wanted a town name that sounded a little more realistic too.
Just my guess though.

Just my guess though. Mark Actually Coolsville is also the home for the Mystery Inc gang in many of the Scooby-Doo comics. A lot of Scooby-Doo comic books have Coolsville as the gangs home town the Abominable Snowman movie and Goblin King also have Coolsville in both of those films. I Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King and Abominable Snowman plus many Scooby comics have or mention Coolsville so no Coolsville is not something that only created for A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and not only for the live action films.

In the current DC Comics run, Crystal Cove is a district in Coolsville.

Yeah that makes sense if Crystal Cove is a town/district with in Coolsville. Especially given Crystal Cove has been hinted outside of SDMI.
