I'm really excited for this new series! I hope they keep the characters' attitudes the same as in Abracadabra-Doo...

Maybe they will, and one reason for the long delay was to introduce that in Abracadabra-Doo first? Just wondering.

I wonder if they're holding off on premiering the series until the new movie premieres in the fall.

Speaking of the new movie, i've seen a couple press releases from Cartoon Network online that say the series will premiere in, wait for it: 2011; if this is true, it's ridiculous. At least with WNSD and Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get A Clue, we knew when those shows were going to debut because they aired on Kids WB/CW; maybe the reason this series is taking so long to debut is because it's on Cartoon Network and not on a broadcast network, or maybe not, who really knows at this point.

2011?? Man, that would suck if true. Yeah I hope it's not true, but this was part of a press release from CN about the new movie so unfortuntely I have a feeling that it might be true. Actually the press release's wording was at the end of it when they describe Scooby's history, movies and things like that. The release said(i'm paraphrasing): and a new series which is slated to debut in 2011; although they also mention a title for a new Scooby Doo direct to dvd movie which according to the release is called Scooby Doo: Camp Scare; however that might not be true because I haven't seen anything online about it.

I found the press release that mentions it. www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=20100312cartoon01An animated creation from the legendary Hanna-Barbera studios, Scooby-Doo celebrated his 40th anniversary in 2009 and represents one of the longest running, most beloved franchises in cartoon history. Starting with Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! in 1969, the awkward, snack-craving Great Dane and his four unique pals have been solving mysteries through 10 televisions series (spanning nearly 300 episodes, with a new series slated for debut in 2011), seven TV specials/telefilms, 14 made-for-video animated films (with No. 15, Scooby-Doo: Camp Scare, arriving in September 2010), and two live action theatrical features (Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed).
