Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. starred in the first two live-action movies together as Fred and Daphne. They have been married for 10 years, already have one daughter, Charlotte, and now are expecting their second child to be a boy.

I don't know if anyone else follows the actors and actresses who were in the 2002 and 2004 films. Anyway, I do. Sarah announced her pregnancy back in April 2012, but reports of the baby's gender didn't come until July 18. "They are thrilled that Charlotte will have a little brother.", a source close to the couple told People.com. "They love their little girl more than anything in the world and know that love will only multiply." I am very happy for them!

Sarah Michelle Gellar "had a baby boy last week in Los Angeles," her rep tells PEOPLE. She and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. "are thrilled to announce" the news, the rep confirms to Access Hollywood, adding that "mother and baby are doing great."
These reports just now came in, like, less than an hour ago. No names or anything yet, but I'll keep everyone posted.

I feel like I'm the only one on the forum who cares about this!
I think this should be added to the calendar, and plan on doing that soon.

I can't say I care much, but I am happy for them.

That's fine. It's not that I don't care, it's just that I'm (still) catching up on all these threads. There about two whole pages worth of things for me to still read, and that's just on the general board.

It's great they had a heathy baby boy and all that, but I would say and feel that for any happy couple. They are becoming further and further removed from the scooby franchise that every update of their post scooby lives isn't significant for the forum as a whole. It has been years since their movies and it is very unlikely that the couple will ever return to be a part of Scooby...as of this point the only real possibility is if Freddie Prinze Jr is part of the WWE project, but most fans here don't want him back being Fred for that. So yeah, good for them, but it probably doesn't need to go on the calendar IMO.

So yeah, good for them, but it probably doesn't need to go on the calendar IMO. I realize that they are not the "here and now", "today and tomorrow" Scooby-Doo. But I don't see how they are becoming further and further removed from the franchise. Those two live-action movies are still a big part of the Scooby fanchise, and those movies are still a big part of the actors'/actresses' careers. I don't plan on talking about every little thing in each of their lives. (If they weren't married to each other I wouldn't have included their anniversary!) But I think having a child is a big enough event to have a thread and add to the calendar! So, that's why I am going to add it. I'm really not one to care about celebrities or keep an eye on them, but I do when it comes to the ones who were involved with Scooby-Doo. So, I can see not caring if your not a fan of theirs, but I'm surprised that Doo's the only other person who actually cares on the forum.
