Yes, control of characters is usually fiercekly guarded by the player playing as them. while having a grand monologue is fine, just dont control the characters without the poster controling them's sayso. Anyway we've got something going here folks, lets keep it up. I think each of us should take 2 characters. I'm playing Dixie and Velma..

((I can pop in as E and Pericles, but they shouldn't be needed all that often. I do suggest that 1 person be the "DM" to steer the story. Scoobnick seems to have a plan. If you need another mysterious monster, let me know, but for now, E had his say and you guys need to run with it however you see fit. Since this takes place between seasons 1&2, you might want to avoid solving the over-reaching treasure storyline since the show will cover that.))

"Whistling Dixie..." Daphne echoed. Now that she thought about it, she had heard that phrase before. She highly doubted that it was actually aimed at Dixie herself, though, since she was their friend and had just arrived here. For all they knew, Mr. E might not even know that Dixie was here.
"What if it's not meant for Dixie?" she thought aloud, glancing at Velma for confirmation. Unless it was someone who wasn't present, that only left the gang and Angel- but as far as she knew, none of them were just blowing smoke either.
((Well, considering I have Daphne, Fred wouldn't be a good option for me, and the rest of the gang is taken... unless I was to bring in an OC, I dunno who else I'd want to play.))

Sure thing j3h. Whistling Dixie was a song written the 1850s. It was used by the confederacy during the Civil War as an anthem, although it has gained popularitry as a folk songunder the title "I wish I was in Dixie"Velma said typing on her computer. Dixie as a southern girl, is likely familiar with it. ' ' Yes the folk version, the original version is too offensive for my taste." Dixie agreed ' Dixie refers to the southern part of the country, its actually French in oriigin.Dix is the French word for 10, and there were banks in the South who had the word on thier currency, and they were called Dixies. I'm not sure why my mother and father called me Dixie,., but hey the name suits me.." dixie shrugged.

Daphne raised an eyebrow. "Okay, now I'm just lost." she deadpanned, moving to stand next to Velma and Dixie. "What does a song and southern currency have to do with this?"
((So I guess we're not talking about the phrase 'whistling dixie,' then?))

Mr Es phrases always have a double meaning Velma said "so it could be auimed at Dixie, in terms of something to do with the civil war, but i'm not sure what. I dont think any battles were fought here." dixie settled in next to scooby, and she gave him a warm smile..

Scooby gave her a smile back.
((So, I'm guessing the gang doesn't know Mr. E is working with Pericles yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Daphne simply nodded in reply. "There are none that I can remember either, but history is more of your thing than mine anyways." she commented, leaning over Velma's shoulder to see the computer screen.
((Set between seasons? Is this semi-AU then, since they were actually separated between the seasons? And if so, what're the relationships between then gang currently like?))

well we'll say that this is before they started going after the rest of the pieces. we left it kinda vague.. as for the relationships. we'll say its not what it was after the first seasons events obviously..
