Shag and scoob. Oh and scooby hated clams... It's true that Scooby doesn't like clams sometimes, but other times, such as in SDMI, with the clam cabin, he does.

I'd probably befriend any of them, honestly. Though I'd say Velma and I would have the most in common.

Shaggy, because I don't think you could be friends with Shaggy without Scooby also coming as part of the package. Actually, I think the whole gang is close enough where if you're friends with one, you're friends with all - but it's especially certain with Shaggy and Scooby

I'd hang out with shaggy, him and Scooby just seem like such fun relaxed guy's off work. Maybe Daph but some times she's snobish.

Shaggy and Scooby are a package deal. even in a next gen series you'd have to find someway to fit Scooby in (at least in flashbacks).

I would pick Velma hands down! I’d especially love to be friends with SDMI Velma. She’s sassy and always there for her friends. She is lover of all things nerdy and rock music (especially the Hex Girls) ;). Plus Velma’s mom is iconic. Between the museum in SDMI or a whole town being obsessed with her in Monster of Mexico. I think she would be a great friend!

Velma, she's the most interesting of the whole gang. I'd love to discuss many subjects with her.

If I had to choose one: Fred
Fred is so underrated. He's a sweet, enthusiastic person who means well even if he does get wrapped up in his own world. Imagine building a trap with Fred: it would be so elaborate and time-consuming but the payoff would be like watching dominoes fall into each other.
Plus: he'll also always be designated driver. There's nothing better than a friend who insists on driving you everywhere.

Scooby and Shaggy would be more fun to hang out with, and Daphne would have better things to do than hang out with me. Fred and Velma would actually push me to try new things, learn more, etc. I see the longest synergistic friendship with Fred and/or Velma.

I love most versions of Velma, but she would probably get on my nerves in real life
Any of the rest of them would work better, I would probably go Fred or Daphne

Velma would only drive me crazy if she were often actually wrong about things, but held to her closed-minded stance still. I could sit down with Fred and Velma, play a few games of the Dominion card game or something, and I think that would be fun. I love Scooby and Shaggy in the show, but in real life I think their energy and distractability would clash with my lower energy and attempt to focus.

I admit I can be cynical and a smart*** sometimes (not all of the time, but in certain situations), but Velma would probably be too much for even me, especially and mostly if we're talking about recent Velma Shag and Scoob would be fun to hang out with sometimes, but like you said, they would have terrible focus on things. As a nerd in general (Scooby, Board games, Total Drama Island- Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try out a new show if you haven't seen it btw-, Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, etc.), I enjoy having passionate conversations about personal joys and Shag and Scoob would be the worst in that area, and old Velma would actually be best there Super dumb Fred would get on my nerves as I generally have low patience for people with extremely low intelligence but normal Fred seems like he would be cool to hang around. Daphne too. Just normal-ish people I guess

I think I would most likely hit it off with Shaggy, as I do seem to have a lot in common with him at times. And of course I'd also be friends with Scooby!
