Hi everyone,
I'm back from SDCC and since I was the one who live tweeted from the pannel I can try to clear up any of my short info-nuggets if anyone has questions.
As stated above, they said episode 52 will have ties/direct connections to something in episode 1 (aka the pilot)
They honnestly do not know an exact date when season 2 will start because that is up to cartoon network...just like these creators didn't have control or direct info concerning the large gap between groups of new episodes we recently experienced. BUT their general feeling is that it will be "soon" (sept or oct are good guesses)
At the signing session, Mitch Watson stated to me that they got a lot of message board flack for giving Flim-Flam "20 to life", but we can still expect more of that kind of humor (and old series references) thrown in for the long time scooby fans in season 2.
I didn't tweet the questions asked by kids, (like "how do scooby & Shaggy eat so much?"), but all of the producers were fantastic with the little ones and were definately having a ton of fun. Earlier in the panel, they showed several high-light clips from season 1, including one of just Shaggy & Scooby eating...they jokingly called it "the beginning of their childhood obesity P.S.A."
Before the Q&A, they showed the full episode 26, which just looks really really great on a big screen. also great laughs with a large crowd.
I was the first question for the Q&A, which was about if season 1 will get a bluray. The fullest answer is "No bluRay plans for right now, but it could happen. Buy the "soccerMom" editions of the series (the 4 or 5 episode ones out now) so WB can see the sales/demand"
