Thanks Doo. i'm glad to see I'm not the only one on here that remembers her. I personally think she'd make a nice addition to the gang , either in this series or future ones. and, given that this series has celebrities providing voices, I have the perfect celebrity in mind to play her: country legend Dolly Parton. She fits Dixie to a T: performer, singer, and just a bit of a ditz.

I liked Dixie Doo, but thought it was odd that she is Scooby and Scooby-Dum's cousin and yet they were attracted to her. It didn't totally make sense why they did that.

Thats Scooby Dee, not Dixie Doo. Scooby Dee appeared in the chiller Dillar Movie Thriller in 1978, Dixie appeared in 1984's "Showboat Scooby". Dum did not appear in the episode Dixie was in. Scooby Dee is a white Great Dame , Dixie is a tan Great Dane who also wears a dress. Completely different characters. Scooby and Dum were obviously attracted to Dee, any attraction between him and Dixie was more subtle , when she leaves with a tray of chicken, Scooby asks her if they could talk it out over dinner.

yes, its different for dogs than humans imo. they considered having scooby dee as a girlfriend in the early 80s, but she was a disposable love interest. dixie imo, would work better as a girlfriend, and would balance out the gang nicely..

I got my dogs confused LOL! Not sure why I was thinking of Scooby Dee when I was writing about Dixie Doo.
