Out of all the ways over the years the gang said they got Scooby, which way do you believe: 1. In Scooby Goes Hollywood, the gang said they got Scooby at a pet shop.
2. In "Happy Birthday Scooby Doo" and A Pup Named Scooby Doo, the gang said they got Scooby when he was a puppy.
3. In "Scooby Doo 3: The Mystery Begins" Scooby is found by running through Shaggy's window.

Puppy. I can see Shaggy weening and spoiling him early.

I prefer the puppy.
Mainly because it explains how he still knows where Scooby-Dum and all the rest of his family live. If the gang got him from a (human) family they knew, then they'd know where the rest of the litter and other relatives went and came from. If he came from a pet shop or randomly as in The Mystery Begins then he might not know where he came from or where his family is.

I think the Which ever one actually came first, which I'm pretty sure was in Scooby Doo Goes HollyWood. The Origianals Chose that one, it was the orignal one so that is what I believe.

I would say pet shop. I can see them getting him as a puppy, and that could still mean he came from a pet shop.

I think scooby was born on a farm like it`s been said in the series. I think Scooby was bought as a puppy.

LOL! But if they got him as a puppy, where did they get him from? A friend? Pet shop? So I'd have to combine the 2 so it is less open ended.

They got him when he was a puppy from the Knittingham puppy farm. Like mentioned in Pup named Scooby-Doo one time, and also in my Hanna-Barbera books.

Hmm, a puppy farm works pretty well for me. Some place like that would probably have records of his family. Like I said I just prefer something that explains how they know where Scooby-Dum, Scooby-Dee, etc. are to be able to meet up with them throughout the series's.

I'd have to say puppy but still, he could've been in a pet shop. So both. Thanks ScoobyAddict.
