Do we know if it's specifically the tv series version? We do not, no. Personally I think it's doubtful, since it's been off the air since 2006 (much more time has passed than when they did the crossover for the Batman: The Brave and the Bold show). Most likely it's a new version of Krypto. But you never know.

Design wise probably given since the 2005 version is what the majority and marketing likely thinks of the character, but not sure about continuity. I wouldn't be surprised if they make Krypto be able to talk to the Scooby gang.

Geez, with all these crossover direct-to-video movies they've been doing, along with how WBA teamed up with Nickelodeon to do "Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 2019, I want to see WBA team up with DHX/WildBrain and do a Scooby-Doo and Inspector Gadget crossover DTV movie! Both franchises have quite a few similarities, and not just the voice cast (and with that, in addition to voicing Fred and Scooby, Frank Welker could also reprise the roles of Dr. Claw, M.A.D. Cat and Brain!) Gadget bumbling with Shaggy and Scooby would be likely, while Penny teams up with Daphne and Velma (and maybe both Daphne and Penny could get captured by the villain(s) together, since they were often subject to being damsels in distress.) Just a thought.

This is a pretty nice surprise, I never really watched much of the Krypto animated series though I know the character from the comics. It could also work as a tie-in with the theatrical League of Super-Pets that's been in the works for a while. Though I doubt they would get Dwayne Johnson to voice Krypto in this DTV movie, too.
Also, pretty funny how many of these Scooby movies have him teaming up with other, famous dogs - Dynomutt, Krypto and there should still be that Courage the Cowardly Dog movie eventually.

I think the courage the cowardly dog will probably come next year but I'm unsure

I just read the news, why so many crossover movies? That's why we had Guess Who Scooby Doo? Oh well, is this SuperDog? I heard about it but didn't know it was crossing over with Scooby, weird. I thought it was clear by now, that Warner no longer have any faith that Scooby-Doo can carry a movie of his own.

Couldn't have anything due to the so-so Scooby content that they've been producing over the past few years, no, can't be that...

Just because the next few are going to because the next few are going to be crossovers doesn't mean that they are going to stop solo scooby doo films altogether plus they have been doing crossover since 1972 doesn't that mean that they had no faith in scooby doo at the very start and scooby doo can carry a movie weather or not it is a crossover imo.

As of a few days ago, I would have approached that question differently. But Warner A-list had a pretty blatant question showing that another brand WB is desperate to pair with something to make people care.
There was no equivalent Scooby question. I don't think they are seeing him in that same light. But Scooby does have a wide audience and could lure more people in with associating him with things he's not usually with. The idea he was doing it way back in his second series also majorly helps that.

Yeah the fact that scooby doo crossing over with other characters is kind of been the norm for this franchise and weather not it's a crossover doesn't affect the quality of the product and I kind of see the potental here when it comes to scooby doo crossovers and don't forget we are still getting some non crossover stuff like the scooby doo reunion and that velma series.

I think WB is getting out of ideas. They are producing way too much crossovers. I miss the good early 2010s movies. Generally I don't like crossovers, I would like a movie just focused on Scooby and the mystery. Still, I wouldn't mind to be surprised with a good movie this time. Yeah - my patience for even mediocre Scooby is pretty huge, I mean I'll probably sit down and watch this still and even enjoy parts of it. But Scooby HAS gone downhill ever since they started relying on celebrity cameos every single movie (not to mention with the latest series Guess Who). IMO, when they include cameos, they get lazy and start relying on celebrity gags instead of fleshing out the location and other characters of the episode/movie. And no, this isn't specifically a rant against modern Scooby only - New Scooby-Doo Movies had this glaring problem as well.

It's also likely WB wants to pair Krypto with a well known franchise to reintroduce the character to the current generation given reruns of the show haven't been on TV since 2013 and to get people to see the DC pets movie.

Yeah I think these are likely reasons why they are making this movie and it makes me wonder what other crossovers that we might see in the future

So we might as well start making guesses if Streaky, Jumpa and Ace show up in this movie.
