I absolutely hate how realistic this sounded. Especially the disparaging erasure of Scrappy, as well as the pig-headed refusal by Velma to believe ghosts are real.

Part of the satirical message I was going for was definitely for it to sound just as infuriating as Curse of the 13th Ghost and Return to Zombie Island in those aspects

For a second I thought this was real as it does sound like something that could happen LOL. This film is in my top favorite Scooby films and I am worried how the ending would turn out, you see for some odd ball reason these new films always has Velma snug attitude right about science and such. I would hate for them to ruin such a classic that way. Its bad enough what they did to 13 Ghosts, no thanks. I am curious how they would handle that girl who was crushing on Shaggy but at the same time.

Wait a minute. Velma has denied ghosts since the Headless Specter. I mean, you can wish her to be however you want, but she's always been a skeptic as far back as the '70s.

Yeah, but she still got scared by the monsters. And as soon as she came into contact with REAL creatures (Jeannie, Babu, Dracula, the Ancient Aliens and the Zombies, etc.) she never denied them, especially to their face. Which she does to Mudsy in Guess Who REPEATEDLY. She was always a skeptic, she was never delusional. She was Dana Scully before Dana Scully was even a thing.

There is a difference between skepticism and stubbornness. Zombie Island got it, Return to Zombie Island didn't.

Fred, for example, was not annoying about it
