Wow this episode was great. While I'm not the biggest fan of Cher, she killed it this episode in a very similar manner to Mark Hamill. The second half of the episode was great with references to Cher's TNSDM episode and A Clue for Scooby-Doo, especially with the inflated diving suit. Definitely one of their best episodes.

Individually, the episode was ok, but bringing back arguably one of the greatest guest star performances ever in one of the greatest episodes of the New Scooby Doo Movies (and of all time!) almost made me a little emotional strangely enough. The fact that they straight up mentioned Secret of Shark Island was one of my very favorite parts. This was a special episode to me and although I haven’t seen nearly all of them this is one of my top favorites

I loved how nostalgic this episode was! Cher was an amazing guest star as usual, though her voice sounded a little off. Totally makes sense though given she's 74 now and she was 26 when she did the previous episode. I loved that they referenced "The Secret of Shark Island" twice! I was half wondering if they were going to bring up Sonny at all, but that could have been sad, so I get why they didn't. It was so sweet that Cher invited Scooby onto her yacht for his birthday! She seemed much less sassy than in the original episode, but that didn't bother me at all. The atmosphere was also perfect. It felt like a perfect combo between "The Secret of Shark Island" and "A Clue for Scooby-Doo," and I loved all the references to the latter episode (i.e. inflating Scooby and launching him at the monster, Cher's yacht looking like the boat that disappeared in "A Clue for Scooby-Doo," etc.) The Shark Men were pretty cool and close to the original as well. This didn't quite make my top 10 episodes of the series, but it was so close and I could totally see myself changing my mind because it was such an amazing episode.

Pretty good episode overall. Cher was a nice guest-star, I admit I wasn't expecting them to manage and have some continuity between this episode and the classic New Scooby Movie, but it was handled pretty well. Not to the same extent as Sandy Duncan's episode but then again, it didn't really have to be. It was a pretty entertaining episode and Cher was handled well. I am guessing this was written for Scooby's 50th anniversary given they mentioned it was his "golden birthday". Kind of a shame it came out like a year and a half later but in a fun turn of events it kind of mimics "Bugs Bunny's 51 1/2th Anniversary Spectacular".
