I liked Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a clue and hated the MI series. I liked Shaggy and Scooby Get a Clue for how they wrote Shaggy's character. I hated MI for how they wrote the gang, you had Velma who was a controlling girlfriend. Daph who was too Fred Obessessed. Fred's IQ was dropped and I think its what started the trend in the current films??? I don't know about Shaggy and Scooby, they seemed the same to me. Yet Scooby talked a lot LOL And I don't like this versions VA

There's nothing wrong with Aloha, and Goblin King grew on me-- the more times I watched it, the better it got. It's a unique film that needs to be entered into knowing that.

Hmmmm...let's see. I'm not sure if any opinions I have are unpopular. Well, except for the fact that I would place SDMI over WAY as my favorite show, but that's without having watched all the shows in full (something I'm working on now). Everything about SDMI works for me, including the romances. Goblin King is probably in my top 5 DTVs, and I didn't know that was an unpopular opinion until now. I also love Moon Monster Madness, not sure how popular that is. Actually, in general I love or enjoy most of the movies, now that I think about it. The ones I have seen anyway, which is sadly not all of them yet. The only one I actively disliked is Return to Zombie Island, and that has more to do with weird attempted retcons and characterization then the actual film, which has something going for it if it had better writing. And Curse Of The 13th Ghost I remember thinking was "meh" but not bad. Could've been better for sure though. Let's see, let's see...um not unpopular on here apparently but I do have to say I really like Scrappy, and I loved him as a kid. The three movies with him were some of my favorites growing up, espeically Ghoul School and Reluctant Werewolf. Rock & Roll Mystery would also be in my top 5 or 10 DTVs, though I'm biased because my parents raised me to be a KISS fan, so I love a lot of their songs. (I do have to say while I agree with the extremely weird and uncomfortable dynamic between Daphne and Starchild, I also understand that Daphne and the whole gang could be actual adults in their 20s, and the band are clearly meant to be in their 30s or so, so it doesn't make me as understandably uncomfortable as it does others.) 13 Ghosts is pretty damn great, and another example where I just love Scrappy. Also, Flim FLam is a fun character. I think that's all I got.

Honestly, while these may be unpopular opinions to the general fandom, I couldn't agree more. Goblin King is definitely in my top 10 DTVs and Ghoul School is my favorite Scooby film. I love Reluctant Werewolf too, though it just barely makes my top 5.

I don't understand it, but I will just continue to love them haha. Also, forgot to mention that I really love the first 2 live action films - that cast! - and really enjoyed the other three.

"Jeepers It's the Creeper" is one of the weaker Where Are You episodes. Too much of it is spent with The Creeper just chasing the gang and there's not much focus on the mystery until towards the end.

Shaggy and Scooby have been Flanderized ever since the Scrappy years, and they still have not recovered. They're now extremely annoying most of the time.
Also, I love Scrappy unironically.

Shaggy goes through a full circle in my mind. He starts as a beatnik, works his way to becoming a racecar driver, then sort of goes back to modern beatnik.

That's easy! "What's New, Scooby-Doo" is one of my least favorite Scooby-Doo shows. And I enjoy the 1983-88 Scrappy-Doo -related stuff.

There are those that prefer "What's New, Scooby-Doo", while others prefer "Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated", and I am part of the latter.

I have many but since I'm rewatching Get a Clue right now I have to say that the designs and animation in the show are INCREDIBLE. The whole gang's redesign has to be the best out of the ones that strayed away from the classic the most. Love especially Daphne and Fred's design and Scooby is just too cute. And although I loathe Shaggy's voice actor in this, Shaggy and Scooby's personalities are the BEST in this show and they have only been getting worse from then (only exception is the first 2010s animated movies), but even Mystery Inc's Shaggy and Scooby are not as good as Get a Clue. THey have so many dynamics, they fight and love each other and are very naive but in the purest sweetest way. Unfortunately I think Shaggy and Scooby are the most annoying characters in most of the shows and really don't care much about them and that's purely for how they are written. Fred, Daphne and Velma are the ones the writers seem to experiment the most on, always saying "they were always in the background", while Shaggy and Scooby are literally just used for comedic relief and that's it, making them super one-sided and obnoxious. Also, Get A Clue has really really funny moments and it is super entertaining and reminds me of the Cartoon Network era with Kidz Next Door, The Secret Saturdays etc. which I love. Again, love the designs and animation and background paints, I really think its a highly underrated series. I wish they used it more and made a "whole gang" series with this design.

And than there are those who just prefer the old school Hanna Barbera stuff which I am part of. So it's more of a 3 way rivalry, 4 if you count live-action.

I think the live-action movie did the most damage to the characters: Velma became a humorless & bitter at men, Daphne took her sassiness & sweetness, Fred became dumb & egocentric, Scooby & Saggy became kind of gross and similar to a romantic couple. It feels like James Gunn just copied A Pup Named Scooby Doo or made fun of 80s teen comedy archetypes.
Mystery Incorporated has some good elements but I think the characterization is too flat & off-model. The story would've worked if the characters were more recognizable and funny.
The 2 dtv films between the Mook era and What's New? era are far superior. The returning cast is awesome but the retro humor & soundtrack feels great.
The Mook films are not very good to me besides the animation and Scott Ines's Shaggy.
The Kiss film is a mixed bag anyway but I don't think the Daphne/Starchild relationship is that bad because these 2010s films never makes any reference to them being teens. Their ages are established as mid-20s with Velma's younger sister being in college. Velma is a year younger than Daphne so Daphne must be about 23 or 24.
I don't get the gay subtext about Velma or Fred. I think its sexist to think Velma has to be gay because she's not as feminine. Also I think Fred/Velma and Daphne/Shaggy are more interesting romantic pairs.
