I actually haven't seen either of these (I'm a bad fan, I know) but I'm sorry WHAT? I did not know about that, and especially the Kiss one is very disturbing A member of Kiss, Starchild, actively flirts back at Daphne when she flirts with him, and then kisses her at the end of the movie. It's EXTREMELY weird and just about ruins the whole movie for me, which is upsetting, because the rest of the movie is extremely cool. I need to make a Dott Cut where I just remove all flirting. I think I might just continue to avoid that one completely. That’s just too creepy and is not an acceptable “joke” or “gag” or whatever

I haven't seen any of the movies after the first WWE one and I'll be sure to miss the KISS one after this talk cause it sounds downright creepy, in all the wrong ways.

Disgusting. Maybe it was always a good thing that Kiss didn’t do Guess Who if it’s gonna be like that

To be fair, the Gang's ages are so nebulous that Daphne could be anywhere between 16 and 29 in that movie. Not to mention, the members of KISS are noticeably younger than they are in real life. They all look mid-20's when they're really mid-60's. So it's still kinda icky, but not as icky as it could be. But yeah, Daphne's daddy fetish is slightly creepy for a kid's franchise. And she's been into older men since literally the beginning. I think Dick Van Dyke was in his 50's during the second show, and yet Daphne was throwing herself at him all episode.

For a franchise called "Scooby-Doo", they should really make more of an effort to flesh out Scooby apart from Shaggy. They're basically the same person; cowardly, hungry, occasionally overcome their cowardice for food or to save friends, and that's it. There's nothing that differentiates Scooby from Shaggy and vice-versa.
Also, the installments where it's just Shaggy and Scooby are so bad. Even the Scrappy vignettes are better than stuff like Get A Clue.
And for my third opinion, I like Scrappy. In fact, I love Scrappy. He was my favorite member of the Gang when I was little, and he's still in my top three behind Daphne in 1st and Velma in 2nd (Fred is 4th).
And lastly, I hate the characterization they've been giving Velma since like 2014; to paraphrase from Zombie Island, she's not a skeptic, she's in denial.

Scrappy wasn't the horrible villain the live action film made him out to be.
They should bring back Hog Dog Water. Her odd history of being raised in carnival life is actually pretty interesting.
The script to the 1996 film is more enjoyable than some of the finished films.
Mystery Begins was great, but I couldn't even make it through the sequel.
The Kiss movie has multiple issues, and somehow gets away with the gang getting high, too. Like, what?

That is possibly one of my favorite quotes from Scooby Doo history and I gotta say that summarizes completely how I feel about the new Velma. Also adding into that, I always feel rude criticizing voice actors so I try to avoid it because I don’t have personal problems with any that I am aware of, but I’m not a fan of Kate Micucci’s Velma voice. It just feels off for some reason. Maybe because Mindy Cohn’s voice is Velma to me and she replaced her idk. Even 80s monotone Velma didn’t even bother me that much (she was also in like less than 10 episodes with that voice so that might help)

Speaking of voice actors - another possible hot take is that I find Scott Innes' Shaggy voice to be a bit overkill. As much as Billy West didn't really sound much like Shaggy, I actually prefer his take on the character over Innes' as it's less grating.

Billy West was a great Shaggy.

Here's one I forgot to mention: I hate Reluctant Werewolf. It's definitely my least favorite movie (aside from Samurai Sword, which I hate just for being an hour and 10 minutes of racism). I love Googie and werewolf Shaggy, but the race takes up way too much of the runtime, and the monsters just aren't funny. Normally, I'm a huge monster fan, so if I think the monsters are bad, you've screwed up. And the missions that DisCount Dracula sends his minions on are so unfunny to me they start being annoying.

Reluctant Werewolf was like a mashup of Scooby-Doo and Wacky Races. For what it is, I enjoy it. It's very different from usual Scooby fare though.
Also, the DVD release looks particularly poor. Unsure of why, as the digital versions have looked fine to me.

The vault masters remastering has gotten better for some of those digital ink shows in more recent memory. Some are probably never going to look as pristine as some other stuff in the library but Reluctant werewolf's dvd was one of the very first dvds, they've come a long way since then.

Ah! I didn't know that it was digitally colored, but I should have known it was one of the first DVDs. Like I said, I've never noticed any issue with the digital versions on Boomerang or Vudu. It looked fine back when it was released, but you can tell that the resolution is very low now, even for a DVD.

I would've said Scrappy-love, but that's really not seeming like an unpopular opinion anymore :) Scrappy-love is now a rather controversial opinion, which I'm grateful for! Now I'd say probably my most unpopular opinion would be that the shorts are weird in a nice, cool sort of way.
