I don’t have a particular top option but a few episodes I would include here would be Foul Play in Funland, Scooby Doo and a Mummy Too (I still love it tho), Hassle in the Castle (same here), Creepy Tangle in Bermuda Triangle, Ransom of Scooby Chief (based off of its inclusion in that top 50 dvd set, absolutely awful episode), Camp Comeoniwannascareya (not good), and possibly a couple of SDMI episodes
As for movies, this easily goes to Abracadabra Doo for me. Blatantly obvious and kinda boring plot, and I was never a Harry Potter fan so it doesn’t have that vibe working for me either, unfortunately. Glad that other people get to love it as much as they do but I just don’t. Monsters Unleashed is a pretty big downgrade from the first one to me, I’ll include that one. Also, Goblin King isn’t very good imo so that too

The Tar Monster is a very overrated episode, for me. Definitely one of the greatest looking monsters but the episode was just full of unnecessary Shaggy and Scooby Hijinks. I'm always up for that but it seemed like they stretched it to the limit in that episode and the plot was just second to their antics.
Would probably agree with Abracadabra Doo for the most overrated movie. I'm a pretty big Potter fan but that one did absolutely nothing for me.

I've never been a huge fan of "Foul Play in Funland" personally. I don't hate it, I just don't think it's as good as the majority of the fandom does.

I kinda feel the same about this one and Iron Face. They are both among the best of the season simply for their ICONIC villains but the episodes themselves aren’t really the strongest episodes in my mind

It was always such a letdown at the end with the reveal. If that feeling of disappointment didn’t linger or especially if there was a truly guilty perpetrator, I would probably adore it, but as it is, it’s ok but one of the worst of its series

I think it's actually underrated now lol seen a fair few people say it's a pretty poor episode. I have huge nostalgia with this episode though, I can't deny that.

I’m baffled that both of you think Abracadabra Doo is overrated. It’s BARELY ever mentioned in people’s favorite Scooby-Doo movies. In my opinion it’s UNDERRATED. It has arguably the best Scooby animation fusing the 90’s DTV animation with the SDWAY animation. Making it look like SDWAY with a million dollar budget. It’s probably in my top 3 favorite Scooby movies of all time.
Ask the average Scooby fan their top 5 movies and you will be hard pressed to find Abracadabra Doo in there. People’s go to is the 90’s DTV movies. Which is a shame in my opinion because Abracadabra Doo is a phenomenal movie.
Now Zombie island that’s OVERRATED. Yes, I recognize that it’s a well done movie. But people acting like it’s the holy grail of the Scooby franchise when it’s far from it in my opinion. There are tons of Scooby movies way better than zombie island. I feel that the reason it gets so much love is because it was the first official DTV with the whole gang. So besides nostalgia purpose it’s far from the best. If Camp Scare where to have been release first than that would of been the “holy grail” of the franchise just because it would’ve been the original.
Just my two cents

Just my two cents I personally have seen a lot of praise for Abracadabra Doo that I just don’t really feel the same way about As for Zombie Island, I am gonna have to respectfully disagree there as well. I feel that Zombie Island is one of the very best and if the exact same movie was made today it probably wouldn’t be exactly the same for me so maybe you are partially right. As for Camp Scare, that is actually the only one I have ahead of Zombie Island on my list haha

Probably 13 Ghosts and Zombie Island, since they're all too often touted as being the darkest and greatest-of-all-time of the franchise, when in my opinion, while great, they're equal to all the other great Scooby films & seasons as well. Plus, they're not quite as "dark" as a lot of people over-hype them up to be, which, to a newcomer, might be a turn off. Most overrated, in my opinion, would have to go to Mystery: Incorporated, though. Like, by a long shot. Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but the similar ilk shows that it spawned/inspired like Gravity Falls I wasn't a big fan of either. For the fans who love that series - it's great for them. But, from the lens of the franchise as a whole, this one little series that massively changed character personality (usually by dumbing them down, like Fred being "traps" and Daphne being "pretty") is pretty non-representative of the rest of Scooby-Doo; which, again, to newcomers, might be a bit of a shock. After the thrill of the 2 season "who's Mr. E" arc is over, they don't really have any other follow up or subsequent series to turn to in a similar style. And, while I thought the show was passively enjoyable the first time around, I found it absolutely terrible the second time around. Knowing the spoiler for the season arcs really lessens the mystery the episodes once had, and taking the episode-by-episode stories at face value: I found most of them unsatisfying or even boring. (remember Night the Clown Cried part 1 and 2) Especially by comparison to the much more solid & timeless series like SD:WAY or even WNSD, which in my opinion has held up better. Again, no offense meant for fans of SD:MI. You're free to like what you like. But, I just can't stand the fanbase for that particular incarnation. Or that series itself. Or the repercussions it's had on events since. Note: I generally consider all facets of Scooby to be of a high quality, so, even with "most overrated" or "worst" we're still talking pretty darn good. Just keep that in mind. On the opposite end: here are some movies and episodes I feel are underrated... The Phantom of the Country Music Hall. I don't hear it often praised or brought up - but I've always found it fun and enjoyable. It introduced me to Jerry Reed, too! Go West, Young Scoob. Scooby-Doo meets Westworld. Watch the original film first. Makes the gunslinger all the more menacing and such a cool inclusion! Just as cool as if they had randomly thrown in Blofeld or Moriarty or the Joker and the Penguin into a Scooby-Doo episode... which leads me to: Scooby-Doo meets Batman/Caped Crusader Caper. Always loved those. Big golden & silver age comics fan, and always loved the moral, upstanding, altruistic Batman & Robin. Introduced me to Superfriends, which I'm also a big fan of. But, I've always found the Joker and Penguin plots better here than the usual Superfriends episode. Deleted segment where Velma and Batman discuss the possible greater economic impact of counterfeiting was awesome, too! Also, clearly: Foul Play in Funland! I thought the episode was great. A robot gone hay-wire. Just as with some of the bank robbers and escaped felons, Charlie poses just as much a threat to the gang as any other foe. Perhaps even more-so, since he doesn't have a conscious. Malfunctioning carnival rides are no laughing matter - and those creepy red eyes staring at you from behind tattered tent cloth is, in my opinion, pretty bone chilling. I think the "twist" of having him not be a guy in a suit, but a "real thing" was pretty revolutionary for the series too - especially that early on. And, the transformation of menacing threat to harmless and loveable animatronic is actually pretty well handled and executed, imo. I hear a lot of people talk down the episode, but it's one of my favorite of SD:WAY, personally! Great idea for a discussion topic, matt!

I enjoy Mystery Incorporated a lot personally but I will say that I would have it as slightly overrated because I don’t have it as a top 5 series probably, where I see a lot of people have it as the very best And I will agree that Phantom of the Country Music Hall is an underrated gem and one of my favorites of the series, and although I do see a lot of praises for them, the Batman episodes are still phenomenal as well, especially Dynamic Scooby Doo Affair And I agree that things that I say I think are overrated doesn’t mean I think that they are bad per se. Just less of a fan than others. Get a Clue and some Scrappy material (I would say I enjoy a majority of it though) like Ransom of Scooby Chief and maybe a couple of movies are all I can really say are actually bad

I never really loved "The Backstage Rage" as a kid either for the same reason, but I will admit it's grown on me both because of the creepy "you know my secret!" catchphrase and Jordan Farrell's dark Scooby fan film which puts a bit of a disturbing twist on the Puppet Master.

The Phantom of the Country Music Hall. I don't hear it often praised or brought up - but I've always found it fun and enjoyable. It introduced me to Jerry Reed, too! While the episode does have some good qualities about it, the fact that there's not really a clear villain in the episode and it's kind of just the gang wandering around for 20 minutes before they find Jerry Reed was a turn-off for me. There are definitely parts that are fun and enjoyable about it though.
