Ok episode. Not my favorite but not the worst. Mainly because of the many references to the new scooby-doo movies episode. Not much to say really. I laughed when Hyde dropped into the floor instead of the cage. Also I'm just really glad again they're using a lot more secondary characters and have them have names finally. The monster design was great this time as well, I think they're really nailing it with animations and designs. Even when it comes to have like pictureson a board they curate the details a lot.

I really liked this episode! This is closer to the type of sequel Return to Zombie Island and Curse of the 13th Ghost should have been, IMO. The monster being a mix between the Ghost of Hyde from SDWAY and the original Sandy Duncan episode was cool. I thought Sandy Duncan was a really great guest star and was easily as good as she was in the original episode. I loved all the references to the original episode, and they were done in a way where I didn't feel like it was just a rehash of the original episode. I liked how they included a mummy and Mr. Hyde, but then had two new villains, the dinosaur and the giant manta ray. It was a perfect balance where it didn't just feel they were checking all the old villains off of a list gratuitously. I thought it was super cool how they sort of worked in the multiple villains per episode thing that The New Scooby-Doo Movies often did. It was fun that Zalia returned as well, as were the updated versions of the original outfits. I thought the ending of them making the film from space was really dumb though.
These were the references I noticed in addition to the ones I already mentioned: Velma and Fred's comments about turning at different landmarks at the beginning, the lights falling (an illusion to the lamppost nearly falling on Sandy), the angry director, Scooby making eyes at Sandy Duncan, the mummy and pyramids, the door scene where there is a saloon and a desert, Daphne being a stunt double, Bill Billington (the actor playing Mr. Hyde) as a suspect, luring Mr. Hyde out, and the dinosaur is possibly a reference to the dragon.
Also, did anyone else notice that the Mummy from Liza's video two episodes ago was the same as this mummy? Since Liza's video was intended to reference old monsters the gang had already run into (i.e. caveman, wolfman), I wonder if this episode was meant to come before the Liza Koshy one.
Overall, great episode though that stayed true to the original for once, while not just directly copying it. Definitely in my top 3 for the series!

Daphne being a stunt double? Already there's an intentional throwback to the last time the Scooby gang met Sandy Duncan! Sandy correcting Scooby on saying "Cursed" reminded me of the same amusing running gag in "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo." LOL at the director guy stealing Fred's "split up" catchphrase! Heh, nice callback to Sandy Duncan playing Peter Pan! OK, now that I've seen all the potential suspects, I'm suspecting it's really gonna be Tabitha that's sabotaging the movie. She seemed the least suspicious. When they begin making the "movie" to lure the monster, the bell ringing sounds exactly like the school bells at the elementary (now K-8) school I went to for kindergarten. (And yet in this show they don't bother going with a realistic fire alarm sound effect!) And once again, my hunch was right on who Hyde really was! It's like the Devil Ned Flanders said, "It's always the one you least suspect!" And of course Velma has to say "Actually, it all makes perfect sense!"
