Welcome.
I like your site a good bit. Especially the History section. Learned a few new things, though as is often the case I was left with some questions. Only so much one can do there though because there's really not as much in the way of detailed source material for cartoons as compared to a lot of live-action classics. Your site is pretty original too. One question? Do you plan to eventually add the other Scooby incarnations, or just stick to the original series?
There were a few interesting things in your History that stood out, mainly because they're things we've discussed here recently in one way or another:
"In the production's first draft, titled Mystery's Five.....Fifteen-minute cliffhanger episodes would incorporate teenage issues like school life and love interests....."
That's interesting because it sounds a lot like the new "Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated" series we all pretty much love here. The producers of that show said that they went back to a lot of the original 1960's source material and had discussions with Ruby & Spears while developing SD:MI. I wonder if these early drafts were the inspiration behind the non-mystery related segments of the new show?
"Too Much, renamed Scooby-Doo, would team up with Shaggy to form a comedy duo. The two would take center stage to balance scares with laughs."
That line caught my attention only because I've always thought that the reason Scooby appeals to such a wide audience and is loved so much is because it combines mystery, action and laughs all in one show, rather than focusing on being either a drama or comedy.
"Once a script was completed, artists rendered it as a storyboard and voice actors recorded dialogue. Meanwhile, layout artists designed backgrounds (pictured right), props, and characters unique to the episode. After layout, animation began. <snip> Animation sketches were then traced with ink and painted onto clear sheets. Lastly, music and sound effects were added. From start to finish, the process took six months."
I thought this was interesting because another thread here discussed how long it takes and how expensive it is to produce 1 episode of SD:MI. Sounds like it took a pretty long time back in 69-70 too.
Thanks for sharing your site. I'll keep checking back.

Thanks for the feedback, Mark! I originally planned a much larger website covering all of the Scooby-Doo series, but once I started making the site, I realized how ambitious of a goal that was. So, I decided to start out on a smaller scale.
In the future, I may add guides for other series, as well as other webpages. Some pages I have considered adding are fan fiction, videos, and games. I enjoy editing videos and creating small computer games, and I think that once I am able to make the time commitment required for these projects, they would make good additions to my site. Do you have any other suggestions for additional site features?
You brought up some interesting points regarding the relationship between "Where Are You!" and "Mystery Incorporated." It sounds like Warner Brothers really did go back to a lot of the original source material to create the show. I had never thought of that before; I'm really glad you brought that up!
Thank you very much for your comments!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and compliments on my website, everyone! Is anyone familiar with any Scooby sites that are still being updated? I have tried to contact the webmasters of many Scooby sites to discuss a reciprocal link, but very few are still updating their sites. Does anyone have any other suggestions for promoting my new website? So far, I'm using social media - Facebook ( www.facebook.com/#!/pages/The-Scooby-Doo-Casebook/126802127381168), Twitter ( twitter.com/SDCasebook), and YouTube ( www.youtube.com/scoobydoocasebook), I have applied for inclusion into a couple web directories, and I have placed a link to my history page on Wikipedia. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks! Tyler

Welcome Tyler! I will add a link from ScoobyAddicts as soon as I'm over this pneumonia. I have to say that starting off small was a great idea. It took me forever to get everything on my site for each series. I know I am missing some stuff too. It's just difficult to keep up with everything. Someday, I hope to add everything that I am missing to my site. Twitter and FaceBook are good ways to promote too. ScoobyAddicts is on both, so look me up Great job with the site!!

I went to add The Scooby-Doo Casefiles to my website, and when I tried to go to the URL, it said the page could not be found. I tried in using Google Chrome and Firefox and got the message in both. Is anyone else having trouble getting to the site?

I am also, I just tried to go onto the site when I saw ScoobyAddict's post, and a message popped up that said "This website cannot be found." Strange, I tried it the other day and it was working just fine.
