Hey everyone; I thought it was worth mentioning that very recently I did an interesting video project involving this movie. Now, we know that it's basically one big homage to the pre-1979 Scooby-Doo shows, with the original surviving voice cast members (even Nicole Jaffe returning to voice Velma), the original character designs and outfits, the classic sound effects, and remaking Ted Nichols's classic music score in a modern synthesized flavor to be more in tune with your average 2000s Warner Bros. Animation production.
Well, I was able to make a DVD rip that separate each of the 5.1 surround soundtrack channels; the dialogue and most of the sound effects are all on the center channel, the music, occasional sound effects and ambient noise is on two other channels, and the remaining two channels provide echos for some of the music and effects. So what I did was I isolated the center channel, and I re-scored most of the parts using the remake music, replacing them with the original Ted Nichols music tracks! Very much like this video Chorake made a while back...
Except this time I scored virtually the entire film, except for parts that largely used original compositions by Gigi Meroni and Rich Dickerson. The Ted Nichols music is also high-quality, coming from this rare promotional CD made for Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network employees...

It goes really well with the classic voices of the human Mystery Inc. members. Also when fixing a few of the sound effects that were either in other channels or just nonexistent (and there were a couple instances), I even gave it kind of a Warner Bros.- Seven Arts kind of sound, since after all, this WAS made by the same production company and already using some similar sound effects. I also improved the effects mix in some scenes; during the opening storm scene, if you listen to just the center voice/effects channel you can hear the classic Disney/H-B "Castle Thunder" sound effects mixed in with the newer realistic thunder crashes; these are inaudible when watching the movie with a standard 2.0 stereo sound system due to the music being mixed too loud there. So I also improved the volume there so the older thunder sounds are heard better, alongside the rainfall. I also slightly increased the volume on the nighttime ambience during outdoor night scenes, which are also barely audible when heard in standard 2.0 stereo.
Of course, I am not sharing the link here for obvious reasons, but if you are interested in seeing, or rather hearing, my re-scoring edit of this movie, send me a PM!
