I was going through episodes of scooby doo today and I started to notice the villains seem to repeat themselves a fair bit now credit due they have been going for forty plus years now and the new series seems to have overall pretty original villains with a few exceptions of course but then I started to think, what villains hasn't scooby and the gang caught, you've got mummy's, vampires, zombies you know the regular things that come to mind when someone mentions a monster but what about the others, so here's my question what monster would you want in the show that hasnt been in there yet, by all means make up you're own and please share! I kid you not I'm genuinely curious ;D

Boy this is a hard one, unless you just make up a monster yourself.
For classic villains, the only one I could think of might be Jack The Ripper, but there's probably no kid-friendly way to incorporate it. I guess Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde is about as close to that as we could get.
Since there wasn't actually a phantom in The Phantom Of The Country Music Hall, you might still be able to unmask the phantom of the opera.

Oh Wait!! I know. Duh. Our local monster where I live. The Mothman! "Scooby-Doo! The Mothman Mash-Up". You know, I should write a piece of fan-fic on that and draw some illustrations, and then sell them at the Mothman Festival next year. I could make it a "New Scooby-Doo Movies" story where the gang meets Richard Gere. Mark

you have a local monster my gosh you are so lucky where I live all we have are silly ghost stories made up by people who live here, if you believe in ghosts than my town would be the place to come its tiny but the amount of murders, suicides and people dieing gory deaths is crazy were a town of under 2000 and theres junk like that happening all the time, if you dont know a place in town where you just fee sick because you know what happened there your new and local kids being the oh so friendly people they are take it upon themselves to let you know what happened, its probably the worst when the place they are talking about is your drive way or back yard as it was with two friends of mine who moved out like as soon as they could, I will trade you my towns local stories and legends for your moth monster and a stick of gum but yeah all that aside moth monster would be awesome (they havent unmasked a bug yet have they?) they could have our mr C he was decapitated by a train when passing out drunk on the train tracks and now supposedly haunts the abandoned train station I mean the headless horseman didnt become headless without cause so maybe he wouldnt be too much of a mature story for the show then again headless drunks might be a bit much eh what do i know, flim flam as a monster would be cool but whats his motive?

Yeah, the Mothman was first sighted back in the 50's I believe. It was recently featured on an episode of MonsterQuest, and was also the background subject for the movie The Mothman Prophecies that starred Richard Gere. Back in the late 90's I think. The Headless Drunk! Yep, that would be a new one. Mark

Mark They've already done The Ghost of Mr. Hyde in "Nowhere to Hyde", and Phantom of the Opera was in "A Fright at the Opera." Good thinking though!

I'd also like to see some folklore monster considered more ridiculous than scary. It could be used to distract people rather than to scare them away.

why not the ghost of Van Helsing? we've done Dracula a number of times, why not his most famous foe?

How about the ghost of Professor Moriarty? They could have the gang team up with a descendant of Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler as well as a descendant of Dr. Watson.

why not the ghost of Van Helsing? we've done Dracula a number of times, why not his most famous foe? Didn't that already happen in "A Halloween Hassle at Dracula's Castle?" I may be mistaken but I thought that was the ghost that was haunting Dracula's castle in that episode.
