Another fairly good episode. The pacing of this one was much better structured. The gang got to speak much more and the introduction of the secondary characters was well done. I love the running through the doors gag with Scooby playing the organ and then realizing everyone is gone. That was funny. Also cool idea for a villain to have him imagine more than one armour. Still, not enough female characters, really hate that

Interestingly, I thought this one was really bad because the pacing was so off. It felt like everything was rushed, and George Takei didn't seem very into the role. The jokes about George's voice were dumb and the villain sounded really cheesy. I liked the crazy woman and the atmosphere, but everything else was easily forgettable and poorly done IMO.

As Doo said, the gang being distracted by George Takei's voice was a pretty stupid joke. A very decent episode to say the least, although the setting was interesting and the crazy lady freaked me out. Also, is it me or are they overdoing it with the Scooby-Dooby-Doors gag in the last few episodes? part of the forced nostalgia I guess.

The doors gag actually never occurred once in Where Are You. The first instance of it was in "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner?" of the New Scooby-Doo Mysteries.

They're overdoing it with ALL the gags because of NoStAlGiA, honestly. But I did like the jokes about Takei's voice, so I'm definitely an outlier.

I agree they are way overdoing it with the doors gag. The doors gag actually never occurred once in Where Are You. The first instance of it was in "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner?" of the New Scooby-Doo Mysteries. Yeah, despite it only being rarely done in the classic Scooby-Doo shows, Warner Bros. Animation made it a very regular part of the franchise, same with the "meddling kids" line. But I did like how in this episode it ended up becoming a Keystone Kops parody! George Takei being in this episode reminded me a lot of Futurama's Scooby-Doo parody he guest-starred in, "Bendee-Boo and the Mystery Crew!" But it was still a fun romp. And once again, I was able to figure out who the villain was going to be. It's always the one you would least suspect and would introduce the gang to the subject and possible origin of the ghost/monster of the week!

]A variant of the door gag appeared in Jeepers It's the Creeper but with barn doors instead of hall doors I'm also reminded that an early version of the door gag was used during the musical chase scene in "Nowhere to Hyde." Early in that it's pretty short and to the point, but I still uploaded it to TVTropes as a video example for that trope... tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ScoobyDoobyDoors

I honestly haven't ever considered that and always have thought of "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner?" as the first door gag in Scooby.
